Kildala Pass
« on: August 27, 2014, 03:12:32 PM »
Hello Brad.
When I fly “Kildala Pass”, starting from Kemano and following the flight plan, I can’t find the heli landing platforms on top of the wires, as I can  see in the video and the screen shots.
Although I installed the right scenery, I miss them. Do I need another extra scenery to install? However fantastic flying in the Misty Moorings scenery!!

Maybe it's there and you didn't find the platform?
Look here:

W127° 59.57'

See the reason why I did not found the platform on the first place, it seems that I have less detailed scenery, mayby due to the settings in FSX?

Did you already switch to the latest RTMM libraries? (which is highly recommended!)

The missing parts are in
- FSXP3D Chopper Trailers.BGL  (this bgl is part of RWY12 LibraryFSXP3D Library)
Have you got this bgl?

Do you have a second plattform on the same power cable here:
N53° 46.58'
W127° 59.62'

Looks like you're still missing the actual power lines that run between the two towers. I think that is something you also should be seeing. Look at the other picture in this thread above and you'll see the cables. Not sure what library those belong to though. It's been awhile since I did that one.

Taken a picture from another angle, you can see is is not quite all right. There is a space between the studs of the plarform and the wires.

Yes, the problem is to be seen very clearly, but at this time I don't have any idea what causes that, sorry.
Maybe one the the RTMM-designers has a solution.

I'm out at Kildala Pass this morning, checking things out.  All looks normal to me on my system.  My present elevation is 2161' ASL.
(My sim is P3Dv2.3.)

So, . . . are the wires too low, or is the platform too high for you? ???
