I downloaded it.

Does the installer have a readme doc with it?. I'm waiting to find out where FTX Central needs to be set, before installing the lights tool.

Than I need to find out. When I switch regions to fly in. Do I have reconfigure the lights tool when I change regions to fly in etc.

I wonder where the tool go's when I do install it.

I just installed and ran the light configuration tool.

Boy, that was weird.  I finished making my light choices, saved a profile, then . . . scratched my head.  Where's the button to close the box when you are finished?   ???

I closed it from the taskbar.   ;)

Edit:  After seeing Patrick's screenshot of his light tool panel, I realize I can't see the bottom section of mine.  My panel has the "set default values" button in the lower right corner, and there is no step 4 for me.  No apply or close buttons show either obviously.  My screen resolution is 3840x768.

Hi Grayrider,
It's just a tool.  You install it in one location (anywhere) and it works for either/both versions of FSX/P3D.  You choose how you'd like your lights displayed, then close it and go flying.  It is very easy, as Patrick was saying.  There's no manual for it.  You won't need one.   ;)  It doesn't matter where FTX Central is set, either.  ;)

That's fine.

Though I did notice on the orbx page. Some members weren't able to find the apply button, after making there selections?.
To me you have to save/apply the settings before closing the tool.

Greyrider,
just run the installer and you will find that the "Apply" button is right at the bottom of the page.  You use it after saving the profile you create with the program.  It will tell you where it saves the profile and you can have more than one and load the one you want but I see no reason for more than the one you decide is the best for your preference with your sim.

I have it installed now.

I did make my first selections in the boxes, just to have a look. All I did was apply it. I didn't bother to save my first profile knowing  I probably wouldn't like it, and I didn't.

I'll be fiddling with the selections, until I find a profile I like and want to save. I didn't think I'd like my first attempt being a new lights tool etc.

I know I can change my lights selections any time, until I find a set I like. Than I'll save that profile and than apply it etc.

The light configuator is freeware so best to download and try it with your particular installation as we all know that what I see and what you see can be totally different due to setup of your computer.
