RTMM Automated Dispatches ... (Medical Dispatches Updated)We have done a great deal of work refreshing and updating the Medical Dispatches in the RTMM Automated Dispatches.zip. There are a couple of parts to this. From the Medical Facilities Page, you should download and install the
RTMM Medical Facilities.zip ... it can be found
HERE. That puts all of the medical clinics/hospitals and docks into your scenery. You add it like any other scenery program ... it adds 35 locations.
Next, redownload the latest
RTMM Automated Dispatches.zip 06.13.2019 ... this has all the changes we have made in the dispatches for the Medical Facilities. (Don't forget, this also holds dispatches for BWEP ... but we have not altered anything in BWEP at this time).
Changes: We've taken OUT the red flashing buoys that helped you find the medical reception areas. These have been replaced with a man in an orange suit holding the orange smoke flare. This is only used at the medical docks (not hospitals or airports). At the airports, we have placed 3 red flashing lights on the roof of the building where the medical people are waiting for you ... this will help you find the location at a busy airport.
We had added a new Dispatch (Stikine #3) and will continue to add them. When we add them, you will see a NOTAM and the date on the RTMM Automated Dispatches.zip will change. We have several facilities that do not have dispatches to them, we are working on those.
If you have a hidden talent of playing with scenery, the Medical Facilities page, at the bottom, has a "how to make a dispatch" area. It is not for the novices, but if you have some experience in this area and want to try one of these, let me know and I'll help you through the process the first time.
The Medical dispatches are unique in that they only give a way point for the emergency (which can be ANYWHERE). You have to figure out how to get to the way point. In our flying area, the weather may limit your altitude (you may want to stay below the clouds), which means a direct flight to the way point will put you into the first mountain you encounter. So you have to dodge around the mountains using the terrain feature on your gps. It is a different kind of flying, and can be a real challenge.
