Misty's Place 2019 ... Refreshed and with Season Switcher

Misty's Place has been totally refreshed. A better airstrip, many options for night lighting, Season Switcher capable, highway connection to PAKT (Payware and Standard options).  This was one of Brad's first scenery locations for RTMM.  Many years later, he has made it even better. All the information you need is in the PDF readme and in the installation instructions that you can view by clicking the buttons at the bottom of the location segment on the Scenery Page.

This is out "home away from home" and it has never looked better! Look under "M" on the Scenery Page for the download.

C.I.R.P. (GLACIERS!) ... has been TOTALLY Refreshed!

The entire CIRP program has been revamped, new downloads and a new dedicated CIRP page. All of the ice stations (10) are now in the SAME download zip file ... one download, all 10 stations and the ndb's too.  If you look on the Scenery Page under "C" you will see all the CIRP entries, the ice stations zip, plus all of the other CIRP addons associated with the program. Everything can be downloaded in about 3 minutes now.

NOTAM: You should DELETE all of your CIRP sceneries from your Sim's Scenery Library, then add these refreshed files.  DO NOT overwrite!

The CIRP Scenery Page has been totally revamped.  The only thing we are really missing is the hovercraft (we are looking for a replacement). But in the meantime, the CIRP Stalwart is one heck of a land vehicle.  You can download a "tricked out" Stalwart from the Land Operations table.  Following the glacier dispatches, you can drive the vehicle safely out on the ice and literally cover MILES and MILES of terrain. The "Tricked out" version is set up with 3D REDUX lights if you have the program and a special modified "Ground Handling" system that give you speed control for the vehicle.  The engine is souped and can send the Stalwart up very steep inclines.

For the air operations there are dispatches that will take you on various supply runs out to the 10 ice stations. All of them are equipped with an NDB so you can tune in your target station on the vehicle's ADF and find the location. This can give you some spectacular flying ... 6000 feet and higher. Weather is always a factor .. and when it is "clear" ... the view is spectacular showing you the fastness of the glacier system above the beautiful Misty Fjords.

There is an "introductory" tour on the CIRP page so you can take a tour (once you've loaded up CIRP) that will take you from PAKT to Summit Ice Station. A great way to see the transition from Fjords to Glaciers, all autopilot guided (except for altitude) so you can enjoy the tour.

All of the location downloads are done from the Scenery Page under "C". And all the information and dispatches are on the dedicated CIRP page

Dean River - Re-Refreshed

We found an error in the winter setting for Dean River. That has now been corrected. There is a new file up on the server. Always look at the DATE to make sure you have the latest of any of these.

Hidden Inlet Lake Cabin and Hidden Inlet Retreat - Re-Refreshed

We had a "tree color" error in these two. That is now fixed. They are still "Version 2.0" but you'll notice the date is for 02.06.2019.  These are now season switchers and they need to be re-downloaded for you to have the latest.

These two are worth a visit, go for the cabin first (it is "on the way") then head for the retreat. You should use an amphibian, landing on water at the cabin, then on the landing strip at the retreat. All lit up for dusk operations too.

Season Switcher added to: Fortaleza Ridge Cabin and Hang em High (Re-Refreshed)

ALSO: Hang 'em High also has been significantly altered at the "upper lodge". The boulders making the cliff there tend to "shift" ... making the launch runway unusable. That is now fixed.

REFRESH 2019 ....

Don't forget to check on the Scenery Page, top table, to get the the latest pdf of the locations that have been refreshed. We are putting up a couple or more a day ... busy busy.

One heads up ... on Hang 'em High ... I did a RE-refresh on that one. There was a problem with the ramp structure (Version is now 2.1 and date is 02.08.2019).  The launch ramp was completely rebuilt. Then a season switcher was put in. Thanks to a lot of support from various members of the team, we cobbled together a great paraglider by altering some of the graphics so it would work with P3D V4.  If you want an interesting experience, download Hang em High and download the powered paraglider from there too.

Today alone we put up Hang 'em High, Lucky Lindy's, Nisga's Glacial Lake and Prayer Lake Cabin.  All of these are now done with Rod's Season Switcher and make for some great locations to visit.

Be sure to watch for the Refresh 2019 logo on the scenery page to update your favorite location.

New RTMM Library Part IV ready for Download

NEW !! RTMM Library Part IV (02.11.2019) is ready for download. This package contains various fixes and improvements to a number of RTMM object libraries and RTMM scenery files. It is EXTREMELY important to carefully read the documentation in each folder in order to make the changes and additions to your RTMM installation as easy and efficient as possible. It is imperative that ALL of the files in this package are installed, without skipping or ignoring any of them. Failure to do so can, and will, make it difficult to RTMM staff to debug future issues users may have with their scenery.

Few can imagine the hours that goes into a project like this, but please, take a moment and give Steve a thank you for a tremendous job.  Watch for his posting explaining all of this in detail on the forum.

You will find the download on the Object Library Page.

Alaska Power Project - 2019 Refreshed

The Alaska Power Project (APP) has been refreshed. It is now a "Season Switcher" and the files have been cleaned up and the readme refreshed. If you are a present owner of APP, you should delete it completely and reinstall this new V2.0 version. You will not have to reinstall the special "Medical and APP Library" for it. The library remains unchanged.

There are 16 locations. But in actuality, there are 32 ... each power plant has an "upper reservoir area" and a "lower plant area". So there is a great deal to see.  All of these are "real or proposed".  For the real ones, they are exactly where they should be located. For the proposed ones, you will find them "under construction" with work crews building the new facilities.

Three more "RE-Refreshed"

Big Lake Cabin, Blue Cat Lake and Bob's Bay Cabin have all been done over again. The season switchers had multiple copies of objects in them. Now the objects are only in the main bgl files and the vegetation is in the NoSeason, Spring, Summer, and Fall.

The new Season Switcher Tables

You have probably noticed the new Season Switcher Tables that are replacing the Leaf Logo for the Season Switcher.  Norm,  Rod and I spent a great deal of time discussing how best this could be done. Each scenery location will have its own little Season Switcher table (if it uses Season Switcher). The "seasons" can change based on latitude, altitude and date ... so there are three key variables driving what you see in the "surrounding" scenery to a location. We are making sure that the location's scenery will be matching the seasonal surrounding scenery.

The key to this is using the Sim's CALENDAR to select your date. If you just change the seasons, it DOES NOT WORK! So if you are using the Season Switcher, get used to using the Calendar feature to select your month AND DATE. That determines what shows in the simulator.

You the date you want to fly, then look at the little table. Depending on the color of the table square for the month you are flying, you go to the Season Switcher and choose that Season. Then when you start your simulator, you use the Calendar to MAKE SURE you are on the correct date.

If you look at the bottom of the little table, you'll see "Legend" ... this is a link to the instructions for the Season Switcher table. Click on it and read the instructions.  I am currently at the beginnings of the "C's" on the Scenery Page. It will take some time to get all of these done, so please be patient with us. I have to basically do this by myself since the colors are changing in the little table and I'm the only one who can make those changes.

Attached is a copy of an EXAMPLE of the new Season Switcher Table.

Bell 222 N223MM Medical and MFC Repaings by Ilia Prokhorenko

We have two new helicopter repaints by Ilia Prokhorenko for the Cera 222 Sim payware helicopter addon for FSX/P3D.  These are beautifully done. And our thanks to Ilia (a first time contributor) for the beautiful work. You can find them on the Enhancements Page under Repaints/Helicopters.

These have both been added to the MFC fleet.
