Video for the Misty Moorings community!
« on: January 06, 2014, 04:31:26 PM »
I spent the evening yesterday creating this video for all of you here. This is my first FSX video I have ever created, so a little rough around the edges. But I hope you all enjoy nonetheless! I will make more in the future if you all enjoy this one.

Nice! Wind's a bit gusty up there, I see.  Love the Goshawk in Navy colours.

Thanks guys! Glad you liked it. I will make a better one in the future. Maybe for Spring.

Hey Archangel1! You got a good eye! Yes, the turbulence was rough on that trip. My passengers looked green at the gills by flights end!  ;D :P

I certainly learned my first lesson in filming FSX. Don't use a real world weather engine in the winter when traveling through Misty!  :D Next time I will set my weather to something a little more calm.

Thanks for riding with me!  :D

Wow Casey I seemed to have missed this one…
Very  well done video. Seems “ The Editing Force”  was with you. I love how you captured the essence of what RTMM is all about…I love the Goose.
Looking forward to more videos from you.

Thanks @Paddler, @NeptuneP2V7, and @frostlp! Very much appreciated, glad you all enjoyed.

@jsapair Too kind. Was my first shot at it. Glad you liked it.

@corbu1 My pleasure! Thanks for watching!

@FSRobert Very generous of you! Being short on time and energy, that was a very basic edit. Just cut and plop. No editing tricks at all. What you see is what I see when I play. I will try and do a pro edit on the next one,  that will take a few days. I will make sure to refrain from editing tricks, part of the video is to show how good FSX can be. Not interested in showing how well I can trick folks with my editing magic. Too many out there already do that in their videos.  I have seen other videos that were much better and with no editing tricks. So I have my work cut out for me. I had all my sliders to max graphics. So I am thinking I could move some left and get more FPS, which would help the color quality tremendously.

Yes, I was trying to get Misty areas. But I think I can do better. Really only showed the basics of what is really there in this one. Yes, the Goose is awesome. More than I would expect from freeware. Thanks to Misty for showing me where to pick up that one.  ;)  Thanks for your kind words! Very appreciated!

Casey, seems we have the same philosophy when making videos...to be honest I enjoy a honest edit over a trick edit, I do not even know how to do a trick edit.

Remember we can always do better with the next video.  :)
