Welcome aboard Bill,
Mearly summer in your part of the world, made a port call in December on the cruise home from Viet Nam in 68 and enjoyed the green world and lovely Jacaranda (sic) in blossom then.  Any question you would like an answer to concerning RTMM should be available on the forums.  BUT there is a price for it ... Ya gotta buy the beer at Mysty's Place because the 'newbie' always needs to meet that requirement!
Glad to have you, take your time and there is so much more than the forums on the site as far as excellent information and knowledge is concerned.  Be sure and get the required libraries installed first so the scenery will display correctly.

Hello Bill,
Welcome to RTMM.
Jeff I was just admiring your avatar, haven't seen one of them since I was a wee lad. Remember when a midnite  regular programming to stop, and this test pattern would come on and I think her name was Ethel Smith would sing God Bess America. Always kind of wondered if that was where the saying came from, ''It ain't over until the fat lady sings Carpe Deim

That was Ethel Merman you're speaking of. For me I also remember the "Navy Hymn" being played with footage of ocean waves being shown.

Then.... The sound of static...Psssttttttt.....,

Poltergeist!

Thanks.  I am rebuilding my operating system and computer environment since my "Master Boot Record" became corrupted.  I have to re-install everything.  I am knee deep in Orbx re-installs and their updates/patches currently.  My RTMM is not re-installed yet, and I don't have my TrackIR working either.

So, the "Test Pattern" is to indicate that I am "down" at the moment.  (but not out). ;)

Hey folks,

Just joined up because all the awesome add-ons caught my eye!  I've been simming off and on since the days of FS2002 (high school for me) and most of my flying since the beginning has been in the areas covered by Tongass, Southern Alaska, and Pacific Fjords.  You should see how rough of shape my Juneau sectional is in, haha.  Early on, I was active in Bush Flying Unlimited and Big Bear Air, but for the last several years I've just been tooling around on my own at FSEconomy as time allowed.

In the real world, I was earning a degree in Accounting and then working my first job at a CPA firm after that, so my free time was pretty limited and didn't lend itself to a whole lot of FS.  Now I've got a new job and a little more time on my hands, so I'm starting to fire up the old Beaver again, and I guess you could say I missed the community.

Looking forward to exploring everything!

Mike

Hi Mike,
Welcome to RTMM.  It is an exciting time to be getting back into it.  We are on the verge of an evolution in the flightsimming world.  Whatever platform you fly in, it's great to have another beaver driver in the group.  See you at Misty's Place for a round of Moose Drool.  ;)

Welcome Mike,

Take your time and enjoy the scenery.  There is a lot to see.  We are a very friendly group so feel free to ask whatever questions you would like.  Normally, a response back is pretty quick.

Mike,
welcome aboard RTMM, the "bush" place on earth.  Low, slow and in the woods is what we do.  Of course being the new guy your on the hook for the beer at Misty's Place.  As Rod says any info you need just ask, if we don't know we fake it!  Actually got a pretty knowledgeable bunch so we should be able to solve most problems.
