I had UTX before SAK and if memory serves--I think I only had to change one file. It was pretty painless, really.

I ran the .bat file which is available from the Orbx forums and followed all the instructions and it worked out great.  I've been enjoying better eye-candy north of Anchorage.

With all the Orbx plus Tongas and most RTMM, I will assume UTX still plays well with the mods at Orbx, BUT do we still need a mesh program and maybe a ground program to complete the package until Orbx comes out with their Northern Alaska region.

Orbx supplies mesh with each region (SAK, PJF, PNW)   Don't remember if mesh comes with TongassX but I think so.  Any other areas in Alaska outside of TongassX and Orbx will only have default mesh (elevations) unless you have a 3rd party program like FSGenesis or FSGlobal2010 (or Ultimate) by Pilots.   I have FSGlobal 2010 mesh from Pilots that covers the globe.  Any sceneries that have better mesh than my Pilots mesh will display the better mesh no matter where they are placed in the scenery library.  FSX always selects the highest resolution mesh for the area that is available.

Hope this helps
