Flying Out of Stewart
« on: August 04, 2013, 09:44:16 PM »
Hadn't been back to the PFJ area in some time. Tell you what...going from Stewart to Elliot Fire Base at Bowser Lake and then on to what appears in the "NRST" on the GPS (PF 01, 03, 05, Lavender Lake etc) will definitely challenge your bush pilot skills. That's some challenging country.
My porch has collapsed, the weeds are knee-high, I look like Rip Van Winkle, and my hand is permanently locked in the Joy Stick position. The wife suggests I do something but fly. "But honey...look at this! This is DX10!" Apparently we don't all share the same enthusiasm. But hell, I was looking for a wife when I found this one almost 40 years ago.

Yeah, I don't bother to call 'em in to look at the screen anymore.  They think I'm crazy, I think.  . . . and just when I thought I'd gotten my flightsim whipped into shape, along comes DX10, out of the closet.  I jokingly suggested we start on porting it to DX11 instead.  My lawn . . . er, it's out there, somewhere . . . Now close the curtain, the light's messing with my head tracking.  :o

Hahaha...yes, and yes. "Are you ready to eat?" Not until I get my plane on the ground. When will that be? Um, could be 5 minutes, could be ten...depends. May have to do a "go around" who knows. Well, your dinner's getting cold. Okay. Keep it warm...be there in a minute. Okay, ten minutes...I don't know for sure.

Ouch!!
It wouldn't be nice if word spreads around of a new disease:
The RTMM divorce????
I love my sim (YESSS with rtmm) but I love my wife a teeny weeny bit more.
(even if she is not transported to heaven by a nice landing next to a derelict canning plant......) ::)
