Forum Changes Incoming

It's been a long time coming, but I'm going to be starting a phased approach to remedy what many have experienced around here, "slow forums."

It has been a tricky problem to troubleshoot since it really can't be isolated to one point in time, when it's slow for others, it's fast for me... when no one mentions the slowness, it's really slow for me... so, it's tricky.

Thanks to some generous donors to the website, I have initiated a plan that will result in some forum downtime, and that might occur at any point over the next week.  So, if you see the forum in maintenance mode, rest assured it's just me working to fix the issues around here.     The downtime may span a few days, so I apologize in advance for the inconvenience, but it's for the overall good of the site.

good onya mate!  Usually the board starts out OK when I sign on then gets progressively slower particularly when hitting Post for a reply.  Take whatever time is necessary to update things and we will see ya on the flip side.
