No Skagway floaters
« on: May 08, 2013, 12:00:32 AM »
Hi - Question for Brad - I don't have any floating houses at Skagway.  I have SAK installed.  Am I missing something?
Thanks for any info,
Lou

Edit:  I just didn't use that file. (I hadn't looked in the scenery files for a look at the .bgl files)  But the enhancements are great.  Thanks.

Hello,

I don't have floating houses at Stagway so I have to only use the bgl for the enhancements ?

Thank you.

If you don't have the floating houses, and you use either of these files, you may see some scenery anomalies near the airport. Specifically, if you use the lite version, you'll see trees growing through houses in several places. If you use the full version, you'll see multiple houses placed in the same lot in several places.

You will see most of the same enhancements I added down near the water. Shopping district, power station and some port cranes. Full version will show factory enhancements in town, lite version will not.

I did not understand your answer, Brad, because the Google translation is not good.
I wanted to know if, while having no house floating in Skagway, I could use the Skagway Enhancements.bgl file (full version), or not.

If you don't have any floating houses, I would not use the files.

Hi folks,

I use the enhancement file (Skagway Enhancements.bgl) and it works perfect (NO trees growing through houses etc.). I havenĀ“t had floating houses before. Just try and see..
Cheers Rainer

I didn't see floating houses but tried the enhancement file.  It's very nice!   However, and I'm sure it's not related to the file, but has anyone else seen this ship parked in a bad way?   I turned down the ships/ferries slider to zero and then back on and it reappeared as in this pic.

This looks like the "Tustumena"? She shouldn't be in Skayway.
Please check if you got this file in scenery\world\scenery:
- trafficAlaskaMarineTrack_8074.bgl
If yes, please deactivate it and havea look again.

Hello Rob,

Nobody has the Tustumena from Skagway to Haines, the traffic file is not in the SAK package, only the testers have this file and were asked to take it out.
The Tustumena docks in the wrong way because of an interact (too close) with the Banzai vessel (Cargo at dock), the Banzai uses ADE files to dock and the Chenega Google Earth file, if the G/E vessel comes too close to another vessel it will avoid an colission and steer away.
But if you wanted to keep the track, you have too take out the Traffic_SKAG bgl, this deletes the Banzai and the Tustumena will dock normal.
If you wanted too keep the Banzai you have to delete the AlaskaMarineTrack_8074 bgl.
