Whiskey Cove is out!
« on: February 04, 2013, 09:40:19 AM »
;) We've released "Whiskey Cove" and hope you like it. Be sure to read the installation instructions thoroughly for all that can be achieved with this scenery. AI boats and AI floatplanes. Options for all users to try using the control panel. A floating dock that has a ramp you can drive up easily and a hangar on the floating dock that you can open the door, drive into and close the door behind you.

Thanks to Dex Thomas and Rod Jackson for their assistance in this project.

Oh yeah! This is great scenery and well worth the time to learn how Rod's new control panel works with the scenery.  You will be seeing more of these in the future so read the instructions and you will be very pleased I'm sure.

UHOH!
got a small problem with the download.  IF your using Win XP the control panel is not working so stand by for a corrected version that will work.
Brad check your email please.

EDIT:
The control panel has been replaced so Whiskey Cove will operate correctly with Win XP.  It is on the Scenery Download page.

I installed the scenery today and for some reason the hangar is elevated above the water and there is no ramp.   I followed the instructions but did I miss something?

thanks for the help.

No problems here mate, have ya check the tester to see if your missing on the libaries. Not sure, I'll defer to the Yodas here, but ramp looks familiar, like maybe the old Snow Dog Tours ramps

Mike, Yes it is from the Snow Dog Tours library. You will need to install that, then the dock/ramp should appear for you. Also make sure you try out our scenery library object tester utility to see what you're missing.

Go to this page: http://return.mistymoorings.com/object_libraries/index.php

Read about the object library tester, then look for the links next to the corresponding numbers on the libraries. Snow Dog's objects are #10.

Many thanks once again for an excellent scenery addon.   Also, it's location is just right as you have lots of ai planes/boats and beautifull mountains to interact with.
Also, I like some of the custom fishing boats as well.

Much appreciated.    Howard

Henk,

Something is amiss with your scenery elevation. The land behind those docks is elevated and in your screenshot, it's not. Also, I think you're missing an object on that dock to the right. If I'm not mistaken.

These things need further attention. Check out the scenery object tester and make sure all of the objects are showing for you. Look at the top of our scenery page to find the tester, install it and take a look. Please report back what you find. It looks to me like you're missing the CeyX libraries.

On the lack of proper elevation that you're showing, go into your settings and verify what your Scenery Mesh Resolution settings are at. Should be at 5

Brad,

Thanks for your alertness !
I checked the scenery library and moved the CeyX_Sceneries_Libraries upwards.
Furthermore I have put the slider for the Scenery Mesh Resolution setting on 5.

Please see the new shots enclosed. In case you have further remarks, please let me know again.
Highly appreciated,

Henk  ::)
