A few shots over the last several days
« on: December 15, 2012, 05:34:45 PM »
In between RW flights, I've been taking the opportunity to explore Southeast Alaska, courtesy of Orbx and the fine folks at RTMM.

Departing Wrangell

Landing at a lake near Behm Canal

Ran into some weather approaching Steamboat Bay

Step taxiing to the dock

Yes indeed! Fine shots Brian, keep them coming. And if you don't mind, can you share with us your real world job? I believe it has something to do with this classic line from Pink Floyd's hit song, "Money".

"I'm in the high-fidelity first class traveling section, I think I'll buy me a Lear jet."

Hey Gents,

When I have to "work", its flying a Lear 55 based out of Oakland, CA (we have three of them plus a -35). When I fire up FSX, usually the last thing I want to fly is another jet--instead, I crave the low-and-slow style of bush flying.

I grew up in Alaska, (Juneau and Anchorage) so I was always surrounded by floatplanes (C185s, C206s, Beavers), and this is all about returning to my roots.

A really nice set, Brian! I enjoyed them a lot and thanks for sharing them with us. (I just picked up the C185 at the Carenado sale and look forward to some new and fun flights into the RTMM bush.)

Thanks,

Ted
