Kodiak Amphibian gear position indication
« on: December 12, 2012, 07:13:39 PM »
Does the Lionheart Creations Quest Kodiak amphibian have a gear position indication or an addon to get one visible from inside the cokpit?

I wanted to know this as well, so I just read the entire Kodiak manual!  Needed to do it anyway. ::)   There is no interior controls for parking brake, water rudder, or landing gear.  You have to use the standard FSX keyboard controls or assign them to your yoke/joystick.

I just downloaded a texture pak that should help with framerates.

I just installed this update to the Quest Kodiak, and it says it adds parking brake, water rudder, and gear annunciators in the panel with the patch.  So they are working on it.  I doesn't sound like there are buttons to push, still gotta use the keyboard commands.  But now you can see the state of the items. ;)

Thanks for the heads up on the texture pkg, I don't know if it's me or what but it's gitin' harder to keep everything up to date and in line. Wife says I need another  24 hr keeper, she can't do it anymore

There is some info available on the Quest Kodiak PFD Advisory button re the gear, parking brake etc. but it would still be nice to have panel switches/ handles with indicators.
Have used FSUIPC to program parking brake, water rudders, flaps, gear etc etc. on my CH yoke.
Still have to go to outside view to check on actual positions for the gear and water rudders though.
Best plane in my hanger though.
Carenado 185 Skywagon a very close second 'cause it doesn't take off on water start up!!!!!
