I saw the pic's myself.

In the meantime.Does RTMM currently have anything all ready in and around Bella Coola, that might cause possible issues when the ORBX Bella Coola is released, for those that buy it etc.

Just thought I'd ask ahead of time etc.

O goodie!  Bella Coola is near to the new PFJ Landscapes just released and I'm flying around that area right now.  By the time I visit all the new places from Xavier's wonderful work the new ORBX scenery will be out. Yea!

Hello,

I have started working on RTMM Landscapes part 2 : Land of cowboys, close to Bella Coola valley.
Planned locations :
Heckman pass, Hunlen falls, Chilanko forks, Tesla lake and Kleena Klee valley, Charlotte, Edwards's family homestead, an improved version of Anahim airport, a new version of my previous Chilcotin Plateau airfield ...
Planned to be release it at same time than Bella Coola, but not enough time ( 5 months to do the 1st part, hundreds of hours), so I delay it, maybe in march or april, and, we have something hot.

Cheers,

Xavier

Xavier,

Don't be pressured by Bella Coola's soon release. I know 'Land of the Cowboys' will definitely be worth the wait. An April release sounds perfect.

Now, get to work!  ;)

John Venema tells on the Orbx-forms that Bella Coola release could happen already in a few days, maybe this coming weekend.

Grayrider: There isn't any conflict from RTMM scenery concerning Bella Coola. We haven't done anything in that airports area.

I hope there are no conflicts with Jan's ferry and the Neocaligus; but what is a little adjustment among
friends?

Hi Dex,

the CYBD coverage area doesn't include the ferry dock and marina meaning any existing marine enhancements should have no conflicts.

Cheers, Holger

Thanks for the information Holger.  I do hope the river by the airport gets some attention.  I tried a wood
barge in there and it thought that it was a submarine!  Perhaps I'll talk to one of the resident hydrologist
here. ;D

Hi Dex,

I did reroute and re-flatten the river all the way past the airport for the upcoming PFJ SP, even gave it a bit more of a glacial silt color. Having said that no wood barge would ever make it up there in the real world as it is a very shallow river (unless it's spring runoff, in which case the current is too strong). A friend of mine used to live next to its banks and I visited several times, never saw anything other than kayaks...

Thanks for that information, The creator calls it a Wood Cutters barge, a flat bottom boat with an
outboard motor.  It has some cut logs and a chain saw aboard.  Here's a shot of it...

Bella Coola has some teething problems according to John Venama's post on the ORBX site.  Here is the text of the problems with CYBD.

CYBD Bella Coola - We have hit a performance wall with Russ's amazing new 3D grass (which runs quite well on high end PCs). In order to allow customers with modest hardware to enjoy this 2cm airport, I've asked Russ to add a new "lite" grass option so that FPS is acceptable to low-mid range PCs. This means we'll likely release this on Wednesday now.

Anybody have a good lawn mower and can ride it to Alaska to give em' a hand!  ;D ;D
