Tongass Fjords Sounds Enhancements
« Reply #9 on: June 26, 2011, 09:43:58 AM »
I did a sound pack addon for Tongass Fjords and gave them to Francois. They can be had here:
http://fsaddon.eu/wpfsaddon/
Click on services and downloads. They have to be installed manually as Francois did not put them in a installer. Read the READ_ME.
Enjoy !!

Thanks Joe,
I picked up the sound pack and installed it.  I also looked over the other offerings on the page.  I already have the TS Gliders.  If you're into gliders, as I am, you must get these.  I highly recommend them. ;)

(I also couldn't resist the Valdez STOL competition download, I am headed there now!) Thanks again!!!

Thanks Joe,
just downloaded and will install today.  Harkens back to the old FFFlorida days.
 8)

EDIT:

I have downloaded the file from FS Addon 6 times now and the first download was corrupt.  The second download showed 0 KB for size but was there and unzipped OK but there is no Installer included in the archive.
I confirmed this with 4 more downloads each of which came through with a size of 2335 KB.  None of these downloads has an installer with it.
No problem I just installed files manually so it should be good to go.  Can anybody tell me a location and sound that is unique to TongasX so I can check that I did it all correctly?

REDIT:

I loaded up the first TongasX cabin flight in the load flights menu and had crickets and birds so I guess I have the sound files installed correctly.

If you got crickets, you did it right. As I said He did not put it in an installer.
It has to be manually installed. It's not too hard to install, just copy the files to the folder.

Once you get them working, you can enhance your Misty sceneries by placing the Cntrl file as an object. I don't place them with other objects because you can't tell where you placed them to edit the location.  That's why I use FenceBuilder to place them. But it's pretty easy to do.
Enjoy
