Late afternoon run into CZST and on to CYXT
« on: September 11, 2012, 08:44:33 PM »
Hi all,

We took a late afternoon flight from PAKT to CZST (Stewart) to drop off some parts for an old pickup truck. After chatting briefly with the locals we took off for CYXT (Terrace). Along the way we flew over the ski slopes near Smithers. In Terrace, they are desperate for us to bring parts for a Scout that has been dismantled at the Misty Mooring's hangar. They'll be working on it through the night. We plan to eat at Brad's and spend the night in Terrace. We'll be leaving for Bella Coola in the morning.

Thanks for coming along,

Ted

On short final into CZST:

Clearing the runway:

I think I've spotted the truck that needs the parts:

Looks like it needs a new bumper!

The locals weren't very talkative:

A closer look at the old pickup truck:

All the buildings look a little weathered:

We need to taxi to the runway so we can take off to CYXT:

Ready at runway 36:

Amazing glaciers:

The slopes near Smithers awaiting a blanket of snow:

Coming into Terrace:

On the ground:

Terrace is a lovely airport that serves the Skeena river region:

I've spotted the MM hangar. I'm sure they'll be grateful to have the parts:

I can see everyone is busy:

That must be the disassembled plane:

I'm glad Brad's is still open. I'm starved!

They said we could park next to the hangar for the night:

Hi Ted,

Great set of pics and nice story integration of a RTMM site and an ORBX addon airport.  Great job!

Hi av8erjm,

The repaint is really kind of a beta, as I'm thinking of adding some more Misty Mooring details to her. On the one hand I like the subtle RTMM presentation, with just the colors and 'N79RTMM' ID. I haven't quite decided which way to go. I will be glad to release it when it's (finally) completed.

Meanwhile, It seems I've doubled up on one of the screenshots. Sorry about that.

Thanks GrayRider. Stewart is one very fine addon. I'm just amazed at how the realism continues to develop in this old sim. For these shots, REX was turned off and the sky is ORBX #4.

In regards to the Kodiak paint job, it looks pretty  good as is to me, maybe throw a MM logo on the tail and call it done. Then again I'm not sure if there is a paint job committee that has to ok it like some other  flight sim sites. I don't mean to overstep my paygrade LOL
