Just so you know that flight is just a 10 minute flight by helo. With that load it took me over 30 minutes. I almost did not think I was going to make it. At one point the winds pushed me down. I got it stable and slowly started to climb again.

I have managed to get more items. Generator, AC Unit, Gas Blatter, Fuel Tanks, a Basket for rescue's, Water tank, Propane tank, Gas Bottles, Crated cylinders and Crated Drums.

Next I am working on Containers 8X8 and 16 X 6

You just needed a bigger helicopter.  That one's not for lifting.  And at the stations the altitude makes lift more difficult.  Man, I can't wait to try it.  I'm looking forward to the instructions of how to accomplish this.

 ???Um, wasn't there projects I was suppose to be working on?  I am so easily drawn away. ???  I almost got lost on YouTube again, with their suggested videos trick.  One minute I'm watching FSX STOL videos, and the next it's Paula Abdul dancing with Gene Kelly.  AAAArrrrgggg!!!  How did I get there.

 . . . what were we talking about . . . ???

Hah!  I did it!   :o  That's a generator hanging from my chopper.  I snapped a pic before anything goes wrong.  I already lost one generator.  They don't survive the fall. (so I had to start the flight over to get a new generator)  I had a heck of a time attaching the cable.  Where's the ground crew when you need 'em?

Hi Chris,
Wow, That is great!!!!! I was dreaming about slingload operations in the Misty`s Area for a long time.
I also tried to put liftable objects into some scenery but never were able to get it working.

Especially for CIRP it`s a really big deal when flying helo`s on the glacier`s!!!!!!!!!!

Thats`s a great step forward for my MD500, AS350, Bell212 and 412.

Many, many thanks, Chris!!!
Can`t wait flying slingloads this evening. :)

CIRP and sling loads are great, but now with vNAC are a fantastic combination
You can sling a lot of things with AICarriers

That is what I am using. Looking for more items to add and then I will do up the instructions. They will be posted on the vNAC forums. It is still a work in progress but this brings vNAC to the next level.

I found this webpage:  http://fsnorthwest.net/index.php/77-fsnorthwest/24-sling-loadshoist-operations-in-multiplayer-using-the-shared-aircraft-option

I'm loading my objects into the scenery that way.

In the picture below, I am transporting a humvee from the depot down behind me.  There's another one down there waiting.  There's also a pallet of boxes, but I've gotta get better before I can move "breakable" stuff.  I already dropped a few generators.  The cable snaps pretty easy. :o

Try using a longer cable, or you can edit some things to avoid cut the cable, look here:

[Sling.0]
hoist_extend_rate = 5               //Feet per second
hoist_retract_rate = -5             //Feet per second
position = 0, 0, 0          //Feet from datum
max_stretch = 2.0                   //Max stretch distance at ultimate load
damping_ratio = 0.6                //0 for no damping to 1.0 for critically damped.
rated_load    = 2000                 //Characteristics tension of cable in pounds
ultimate_load = 4000                //Breaking force in pounds
tolerance_angle=70                  //Angle, in degrees, used to determine lateral breaking force limit
auto_pickup_range = 10              //Max Range, in feet, for auto-pickup
auto_pickup_max_speed = 10         //Maximum speed (feet per second) for auto-pickup
hoist_payload_station = 3           //Payload station in which the hoist will load in and out of. 1 is first station.
hoist_door=1                  //Door associated with hoist.  Must be open for use.

Also slow down. you cannot fly 120 KTS the cable cannot take the force. If you stay under 100 Kts you should be fine.

I read the instruction. I dont like having to create the items and save the flight. With using what I posted on the vNAC site I can start from anywhere in RTMM and not have to build a scenery file. Just drop the items right under my helo.  Trick to it is to change the settings of the items. instead of 0, 10 Change it to 0, 0  now hover and drop the item right under your Helo instead of 10 feet in front of you. Pick up on the first try.

If you are really having problems do a search for Huey X Hover Gauge.  ;)
