KAP 160 Autopilot - Applying Alt + VS

Hello

The KAP 160 AP is installed in the Redux Goose.

Could some kind soul please explain to me how to apply the height and rate of climb, please.
They are the only settings I can't get to work.......I can change the alt, VS, etc but applying them is escaping me  - and yes the AP is engaged!
