Plan G Start at Herring Bay
« on: August 23, 2015, 02:59:14 PM »
I'm having an interesting problem with starting a flight from Herring Bay PF34.  Thomas has redone the ADEX and it seems correct. But when you start a Plan G from there, it places the aircraft or boat on the helipad, not out in the water at the "active runway."  If you GO TO airport, it will put you out in the water on the "active runway". But if you use PF34 as a start point for a Plan G, when you load the plan, and tell it go position at the airport, it starts on the helipad.  Anyone got an idea on this?

thanks
Doug

I had a startup situation yesterday as well.  The cruise plan you posted from Misty's Place to Herring Bay set me on the runway.  Not the best start for a boat.  When I made PF35 at Herring Bay, I had made correct start points for PF34 and PF35, and for the fuel dock, GA dock, helipad, and the Taildragger diner too.  Are those broken?
By the way, what ever happened to PF21, Misty's SPB?  It is missing on my system, and I can't remember why.  ???

I re downloaded Plan-G and re-set it up. Having the same problem.

Jeff, I'm showing PF21 just fine as Misty's Seaplane Dock ... is that coming from one of the AI Traffic files?

Maybe I'm having another problem here on my end. That plan and the one from Herring Bay I sent out were both brand new. Nothing "funny" done with the plan.

I'm attaching them.  For me the Herring Bay one starts at the helipad. Maybe it is a setting in Plan-G. I'm made literally hundreds of these, as you know, and never had this problem. When you "GO TO" Herring Bay, it picks up the active runway as out in the water. But if you make a Plan G starting from PF34, it will start you at the helipad.  Still trying to figure it ouit.

Doug,
I found my PF21 in a folder called "RTMM Airports", with some other local strips.

I went to Herring Bay and loaded into all of the start points.  They work fine.  I will check out Plan-G and the flightplans next.

Yes, that's what is so crazy..the " go to airport" works, but Plan G is not starting at the active runway for Herring Bay. Thanks for checking that, Jeff.
