Wake effect, "fx_wake_coastguard.fx" does not work properly for AI ships; see below. As workaround I applied P3D default wake effects to AI ships.

My affair with P3D hasn't been so "Rosy".  I made the install to my "D" drive, the same drive where FSX
resides.  The install went smoothly and it started ine the cockpit at I think, Norfolk NAS.  I changed to
the yellow Piper Cub and discovered that my throttle on my Sidewinder joy stick did not work.  I perused
the forums and found that I had to copy a file from FSX.  I got brave and loaded the Orbx linker program
to link all of my Orbx stuff.  The FTX Central was pointing to the FTX Central for FSX.  I copied my AI over
and it appeared nicely.  I have been working on Hollis with Rod Jackson so I took a look at that and
it was OK.  While doing all of this switching, I experienced several CTDs.  I installed Tongass by using
the old spoof method of putting fsx.exe the the P3D folder and re-registering to make it think that P3D
was FSX.  The install went normal and I went to Sitka for a check.  The runway elevation was wrong
and I experienced the old "the bay is full of trees" syndrome.  A terrain config problem.  I moved my
Carenado aircraft over and they worked except the cockpit is not click-able.   The fix for that is to turn
off the water reflections.

Perhaps things would be OK with the up and coming Orbx Migrator but to me, it's not ready for prime
time.  If you like to experiment, fight CTDs and such, go for it.  For me, it goes on the shelf until the
dust settles.  There is a long way to go before it is ready for the average user but I am sure with
all the tinkering that is going on with the engineering minded folks attacking this thing, it will be our
next flight simulator.

This is not a rant or a complaint.  When you invade new territory, you expect this.  Just my humble
opinion.

Yep, I also bought P3D and gave it a whirl.  The rotten apple in my cart is "no Track IR".  I have become accustomed to using head-tracking software with FSX.  P3D doesn't support Track IR.  I stopped right there.  I will fly in FSX until they figure things out as well.

Win10Pro64, MSFS 1.25.9.0, P3Dv4.3.29.25520, AMD Ryzen7 1800X@3.6 GHz , 32Gb RAM, GTX 1080 Ti, 2x42" Vizio Monitors, HTC Vive VR HMD, Saitek Yoke/Pedals/trim wheel, XBox360 Controller, G27 steering wheel w/shifter+pedals. :P

It does with EZDOK. As far as the crashes it always comes down to something that the 3rd party aircraft put a file somewhere. I have got everything to work it just is a slow proccess of figuring out what they did. Some put items in the effects and have the CFG file call it from there. If it is not there then you crash!!! It will get better as more 3rd party vendors start building installs for it.

That "Interesting Aircraft"? would be a WWII era Hawker Sea Fury "Lady Wolf". It's a beauty.
