flight plans not downloading for MFC

I have going thru the MFC tours just to see what they would look like in MSFS. I just finished MFC20, so I go to load MFC21. I am getting an error message. can not download securely. so then I went to my laptop and tried it and got the same error message. I'm guessing it's got something to do with the switching over to Discord. When I went to Discord though and tried to open the MFC DL page and the line at the bottom says I don't have permission to view the message history of the downloads. If I click on the line at the top I get the warning about maybe having to tweak airport identifiers. I know there is something I'm missing or not doing, but I'm baffled.

I think your browser might be trying to force address HTTPS... but the mfc site is HTTP...  so try http.. I am away for the weekend but we'll take a look when home.

Yep that was it, did my browser change something or not that it matters. I'm just thankful it was an easy fix enjoy your weekend. Blue Skies n' Tail Winds

Yes for most of the browsers they have gone to an automatic HTTPS..which is secured url address, however there is a setting in the browser settings that you can change to include HTTP as well as HTTPS.

Well bollocks, nothing is as advertised. When I go to the MFC site and up in the address bar I'll delete the s making it http instead, sometimes that will work sometime it won't. I did a search and seen how they said to make it so edge://flags/#edge-automatic-https, trouble of it is when I go to settings/and privacy security n' services it looks nothing like what they are saying. I'm using edge as my browser with duck duck go for my search engine. One thing I am finding out, I know less about computers and the internet than I thought I did. Edge settings.. how to include http as well as https url in edge browser
... most browsers have a similar settings to use both http as well as https..

Thanks for the info Norm That seems to have helped. Now onto the next whack a mole. What with that update yesterday It's played havoc with my PMS50. The map page and the flite plan/approach buttons work, but the page with the autopilot are all greyed out. I went to their website and did the update but that didn't help, so now it's off to their Discord site to see what they have to say. Seems like I'm trying to get the sim up and running than I am actually flying in it. Oh and the other thing the update did was erase all my inputs for my Logic yoke and throttle quadrant. Whata' pain

I hear it was an Xbox Server crash.. entire system... apparently fixed.. (I am trying it right now to see if all is working again)... (Fingers crossed!)
