While reading around on the net I read that 30+% of Beavers and all military Beavers have tip tanks, not simulated. The tanks look like an extension of the wing shaped just like the wing, rather than the cylindrical tear drop shape I was excepting. Really like the Beaver and thinking of using it for long range cruising.
Went looking into the Beaver file and found the Aircraft.cfg file with this:
[fuel]
Center = 0, 0, 0, 0, 0 //dummy to make fuel switch work
Center1 = 0.375, 0, -1.9, 35.0, 0.5 //35 USG @ +4.4"
Center2 = -1.633, 0, -1.9, 35.0, 0.5 //35 USG @ -19.6"
Center3 = -3.333, 0, -1.9, 25.0, 0.5 //25 USG @ -40.0"
The 35, 35 and 25 correspond to the gallons in the belly tanks. Would it be likely to mess things up if I change them to 50, 50 and 35? This avoids all the stuff way over my head messing with tank selectors and who knows what.
Just wondering if anyone else has done this?
