Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 / Re: MSFS2020 X-Cub in RTMM colors

Checked with my daughter-doc too- immunity from the infection doesn’t last very long
Vaccine gives you a longer immunity
Shows how much me- an old veterinarian knows!
COVID will probably be incorporated into the yearly “flu” vaccine that seniors get in the U.K.
Get the vaccine!
Get better soon

Will you need the vaccine if you have had COVID and it has been confirmed ?
Having the vaccine might even be contraindicated in that situation
Hope you are 100% better soon

There is a good flight plan- Mission across the  Alps- in the FlightSimto.—Bush Trips section
Includes some of these new airstrips
Very very scenic in MSFS2020

Prepar3D-Version 5 / Re: Courchevel
« on: December 04, 2020, 04:07:52 AM »
All the Altiports-Meribel ,Peysourdes etc work well(+the Season Switcher)but not Courchavel
Stutters etc on airstrip
Why ? I don’t know .I have asked them but no replies
I find also deactivating Orbx Europe 6 scenery is helpful when flying  in this area
It’s a shame because Courchavel to Meribel is a great short testing flight especially in Winter

Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 / Alaska Bush Trip
« on: December 03, 2020, 12:53:04 PM »
There is fine Alaska Bush Trip available at FlightSimto for MSFS2020
This can be flown as a Bush Trip via MSFS2020 with all that that  entails -NAV log, points awarded etc or if you dig in to the Alaska Bush Trip  folder you can get the PLN file out and fly the same route with your plane  of choice ie RTMM X-ClubCrafter!
I am sure someone can provide a link to the download

Valdez has disappeared!

I reached saturation point with my sims some months back
Win 10 would not update to then current version 2004 etc etc
Wiped the hard drives ,reformatted and reinstalled Win 10
Not looked back since
A bit drastic but probably will have to do it again before I die!

It may be of interest that Nick Cooper over at Orbx posted an update pathway on May1st in P3Dv5 forum on up dating to v5 .1 hotfix
I have used Poppets P3D update advice over the years on Avsim boards which always worked well
I took the plunge and transited from v5 to v5.1hf1 using Nicks pathway
All Addons stayed in place within the P3Dv5 folder and in P3Dv5 Addons
All Carenado planes and Flight1GTN 750/650+WX Radar working(All RTMM Libraries and Sceneries too of course)
Worth a look especially as I understand Poppet has left the flight sim scene -temporarily I hope

Great stuff-works for me
Great teamwork-well done

There is a program-an Addons mod! available at
MSFS 2020 Addons Linker is its name -it had some traction on the Avsim boards
It seems to work well for some people
I tried it but had equivocal results
Something is certainly needed as the Community folder fills up-and especially as MSFS2020 updates often break installed Addons -until they in their turn are updated
I keep a running backup Community Folder
I keep large Addons separate ie like the latest Utah Parks flight
X-Plane has the same problem .P3D does allow you to to isolate unused Sceneries,Planes etc
However as a rule the less Addons you have installed the better the sim works
Simmers have to make a personal choice

The Bush League Legend mod for X-Crafters Cub v1.7.9 makes it quite a beast
In RTMM livery it would be hard to beat!
Slightly off piste but relevant?
MSFS 2020,s graphics of the countryside continue to impress me compared with P3Dv 5hf2 and X-Plane 11
Some problems in deepest Alaska where rivers rise above the landscape like giant aqueducts !
Obviously the emphasis of the developers( we Bush flyers are a niche crew) is not on deep Bush flying but anomalies aside it still makes it a terrific flying experience
Constant MSF2020 updates break the AddOns from Developers-may be a disincentive if not tackled or is it policy?
Onwards and upwards

Great piece of work-found the grizzlies and managed a landing at Green Creek Mine -between the containers!
In a XCrafters Bush League Legends 215 hp model -unfortunately -bright red”Bruno” not RTMM but at least if I crashed then I would have been more easily spotted and rescued !
Thanks again-great job

No joy for me unfortunately with this particular RTMM livery
After installing-when I select the livery-sim closes
I note the new msfs2020 patch has knocked out some AddOns -airports etc
The sceneries ,airstrips etc just do not appear in sim
Alway the same with an update
No doubt the developers will update their own items -again!

I wasn’t aware of this liveries problem initially
I had a livery installed into a Cessna 172 OK but installing into the 172 G1000 version crashed the sim-that alerted me
RTMM livery as sole additional livery is OK in Cessna  172 G1000
The same sort of thing seems to be happening to me with the XCubCrafters though in this case the  other liveries are OK but not the RTMM one
It might be OK if I uninstall all the added XClub Crafters liveries and stick to RTMM only
Will try and see
PS tried it as sole addition livery but crashed sim
Fault with my set up?

Great work but as you mention in your notes
If other liveries installed Simulator won’t like it!
How true
I have many XClub Crafters liveries working so will have to think about this one or learn editing!
