With all my heart Rod... Thank You!

Looks more like a nice game (with very good graphics) than it does a workable "simulator".

Correct about very good graphics in fact a better word is stunning IMHO. Phew weee night flying is a entire new dimension.

A high tech flight Simulation it is, a step ahead of the competition in fact. PMDG is investing in the platform  and they are a serious flight simulation in their own rights.

All I am missing is RTMM scenery but, I do have P3D V5 installed until then :)

To bad about your smoothness issue Karl.

We have about the same rig except your 2080 card is much better than my 1080 GTX. I am running on High settings with a few setting  bumped to Ultra and am amazed at what is produced with smoothnes and that is in HD. I have installed the new GeForce drivers that came out on the 17th.

Maybe not all of Alaska is up to par but dang it´s nice anyway, Took off from PASI and again amazed at what appears on my screen.

...can someone show me or explain the difference between ORBX TE and and what MFS produces in the same area.
I do know TE offers 3D autogen and I can think loads more but I would like to know what in comparing to real life flying.

Maybe I am so positive about MSFS because of my internet connection. I hear it´s part of a good experience with it.

One needs to remember that many sims on the market today have been around for MANY years with MANY updates already in them to make them what they are today... But holy moly  what a brilliant start start for MSFS...although a bit buggy

Brilliant video karl!

Say what you want its a great sim... yes work in progress but wow it a beautiful experience at least for me. Ok Microsoft and it authorization procedures is a bit

The learning curve in the sim for me are the key Commands. After 25 years with basically using the same ones and now something different but after a hour or two in the sim it was getting better.

It’s not a P3D world that’s for sure FSXX seems gigantic in comparison to the overall ground area in P3D.

I flew around PAKT area in liquid smoothness with a flight environment to die for... the TREES WOW!

Flew over many RTMM areas and even over to Misty’s Place. Of course no RTMM scenery was there but it’s waiting.

Like everything new it is a learning curve and things are different.

Well as ready as I can be for the release of MSFS 2020 or as Dex says: FSXX.

Upgraded my CPU and RAM to 32GB, a 3rd EVO ssd just for MSFS 2020 and a new Motherboard to plug everything into and not to mention my Dell 36 inch Ultra Sharp monitor.

As of a few days back got some Corsair water cooling for my Ryzen9 3900X all with RGB on board...sweet.

As luck would have it even my new Thrustmaster TCA arrived today. :)

...yes just waiting and I feel like a kid trying to sleep on Christmas eve at the moment.

Only missing my GFX card which I feel will be out sooner than expected, maybe September.

Simply as AMAZING as these videos are for a simulator at 60 can opt for a more deluxe version which provides more hand crafted airports and what looks like high quality aircrafts in fact all of the default aircraft look payware quality at a high level as well and at 60 or 119 USD one still gets the same base simulator already packed full of addons which one would pay hundreds of dollars for but, already comes with the base game. The weather engine alone is second to none at this point and it cones with the game.
NO OTHER producer of a Flight Simulator at the moment can even come close to what MSFS 2020 has accomplished with worldwide breathtaking coverage at the selling price of 60 bucks Please keep in mind the videos are Alpha builds. No doubt the Beta has improvements and the release version even more.
xPlane and P3D studios really need to step it up BIG TIME to complete IMHO.

...just remember nothing is perfect out of the box with FS... it’s always a involving process... always work in progress just like RTMM always something to improve.

Rod, with your knowledge and keen but humble insight concerning these subjects with FS you have a VERY good point.

In all the promotional videos from “ FSXX” ( thank you Dex )  from what I’ve notice are from the enhanced area’s mostly but, for a ever so short moment I have seen what I think are not enhanced because of not so robust coloring on airport objects.  Maybe just MAYBE the default airports ( non enhanced ) are 3D objects anyway... we will know soon enough.

After reading through many threads on the net about the release and 3rd party developers and the shear thought business wise ( money )  the flow of content to FSXX will be great. As with the different platforms of FS now... some good, some not so good and some bad.

Karl, to be honest the ICON A5 might be more like a jet ski than a Amphibious aircraft  but in all rights it’s the only water aircraft that come with MSFS 2020.   I think in the first promotion video you catch a glimpse of it in all it’s glory. 🙂

The ICON A5 aircraft is a “ Float “ of sorts but, I agree with you Karl and Klaus. One could hope Float aircraft will come along with Helicopters as well as VR. It’s all about money and I am sure a large hanger will be filled with aircraft’s and add-ons to purchase not long after August 18th.

Happy FS days ahead...

Excellent and already pre ordered the premium package.

... great news about ORBX involvement as well. Now all I need is for that GeForce 3080ti to arrive... when ever that will be. Will be fun to see what my 1080 GTX will give though until then.

Interesting about the requirements and nothing said about a internet connection at least from what I’ve seen while pre ordering. Probably taken for granted these days but with the Scenery Data streaming  I would think a mention at least.

Norm, you are a FSGOD when it comes to this stuff.

My only problem is I removed V4 completely and can not download the Package due to this.
