Addon Scenery and Enhancements / BWEP: Gates of the Arctic RELEASED!!
« on: December 04, 2019, 10:46:09 PM »
On the BWEP Page now, you can get the latest edition of Blue Wave Energy Partners Pipeline. Gate's of the Arctic. This journey will take you through some of the most breathtaking terrain but also some of the most beautiful scenery north of the Arctic Circle.

It follows the BWEP Pipeline through the mountains and even crosses over the dangerous Atigun Pass. Helicopter and fixed wing pilots will be challenged up here.

It's taken quite some time to get this edition of BWEP ready for prime time. I think the payoff is worth all the work it takes.

Hope you like it and please post some screenshots if you get the chance too. Here's a few I took:

Taken during a recent flight at sunset around the island of Oahu, I was very happy to see the results using TOGA products ENVTEX texture sets around the Flight Sim Jewels Hawaii Photo-real scenery. Starting at Kaneohe Bay and traveling towards the North Shore.

I've flown into this RTMM location on many occasions but never noticed this nice little touch at Wood Lake Research Station by Jay Langham and updated for FSX/P3D by Mike Broemme before.

I hid a rabid raccoon at several locations (Bronson Creek and Driftwood Depot) that I wonder if people ever noticed but come on, tennis shoes hanging on a power line? That's pretty unique in the sim.

Great stuff Guys!

I've discovered a new favorite vacation destination. The Caribbean. Using Ultimate Terrain X TAC, Paul Wheeler scenery for the Leeward Islands, Active Sky weather and REX Texture Direct textures for clouds and water.

Sorry but I may never leave.

General Discussion / New Hawaii Photoreal Update
« on: August 14, 2019, 10:18:53 AM »
For any users of the Hawaii Photoreal sceneries, Javier has issued a new update that adds some new autogen enhancements and includes some AI aircraft mod updates that were done by Steve Weinkamer from our team. The readme file for the update also includes some credits for the RTMM team that helped out.

Check out the website to get the latest update. It's free. PLUS right now, there's a 33% discount on all of the Hawaii Photoreal scenery AND the Society Islands too!! I definitely recommend these scenery addons if you want some high quality areas to discover in the tropics. Very well done by Javier.

General Discussion / BWEP SAK and BWEP Richardson Readme files MIA
« on: July 26, 2019, 11:56:36 AM »
So does anybody have a copy of the readme files that we did for BWEP SAK and BWEP Richardson Highway? Doug is doing some updates to the BWEP pages and we can’t seem to locate them.

I recently did a new PC build and it seems that I lost my copies of the original zipfiles that I created that included them. I can’t locate them and they’re MIA here on our site.

Thanks

General Discussion / ORBX new HD Buildings
« on: June 29, 2019, 08:41:52 PM »
So ORBX has released their HD Buildings. Curious how this will change things that we've used in the past with autogen buildings placed in our scenery locations. For example, at Nina's Landing, I used autogen buildings to construct that location. I'm not getting the product yet because I shy away from purchasing anything anymore when it first comes out.

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / Cigar Box acting up
« on: March 19, 2019, 06:10:50 PM »
Lately, Actually 3 out of my last ten flights, I've had to re-start a leg on a tour after Cigar Box went un-responsive during a flight. This happened twice on my last tour and just now on the Yukon River tour leg from Whitehorse to Carmacks.

I'm going to un-install Cigar Box and try a new installation but kind of frustrating to land, stop the flight and then find the app is not responding to anything. Mouse clicks, tab key, nothing. Task manager says the program is not responding and needs to be closed.

Wasted time is not cool.

General Discussion / Doug and Brad finally meet
« on: March 03, 2019, 04:11:34 PM »
Nina and I had the pleasure of meeting and having lunch with Doug and his wife Barb this past Friday in Savannah, GA. We met at "Huey's" and we all enjoyed some good food and great conversations. It's an honor to finally meet you and Barb! Especially since I've been having email conversations with you for the last 8 plus years!!

We've worked on so much together and now I can finally have an actual reality moment to remember.

I look forward to doing this again sometime soon. Now I need to add Klaus, Jeff, Norm, Henry and hopefully Dieter and Thomas as well on my list of RTMM team members I have yet to meet. (Doug, Spud, Dex, Rod, Steve and Robert are now checked off)
