Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / Akutan 7AK(PAUT)

My scenery does not show Akutan.  I flew all around where it is supposed to be but nothing.  What scenery do I need for it?

It is about 2 years old.  It is my second one.  The first one lasted close to 8 years.  However the quality of the second one was not nearly as good.  I went out today and bought a new Logitech Extreme 3D.  I'll see if it works any better.  I am  still at a loss as to how to delete the info for the Control Manager #00

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / CH Fighterstick USB Problems
« on: October 29, 2018, 04:38:46 PM »
I am stymied with my joystick.  When I try to land I lose elevator control  and of course crash into the ground.  I am not stalled.  This happens when I begin to flare.  I have tried it with 10 to 15 knots above approach speed and the same thing.  I end up with the stick all the way back and no elevator response at all.  When I go to options/controls and try to reset my stick I don't see it  in the list.  I see mouse control, saitek rudder pedals and an old Control Manager ID #00 entry.  I haven't had control manager installed in quite awhile.  It appears the old control manager has itself locked in. I have located the standard.xml file in C:\Users\Jim\Appdata\Roaming\Lockheed Martin\Prepared3Dv4\Controls\Standard.xml.  This file shows entries for mouse ,keyboard, CH Fighterstick USB, Saitek Rudder Pedals and the Control Manager ID #00.  Is there a way to get rid of the Control Manager entries and see if that might solve the problem? I considered deleting the xml file but I didn't know if it would rebuild itself. Right now my landings can not even be considered controlled crashes.  Any help would be appreciated.

Reinstalled the 40 TF texture files in terrain.cfg.  Appears to have fixed the problem.

It did not revert back to the default file.  I still show 1078 texture files just no TF textures.  I will reinstall the 40 entries and renumber them starting with 1078 and see if that corrects the problem.

All of a sudden I have lost the 40 TF terrain entries from my terrain.cfg file.  I had one of those pop ups telling me I had a computer problem and to immediately call an 877 number supposedly Microsoft.  To get rid of it I had to go to task manager and close everything down including P3D.  Next time I started the program the TF entries were gone.  Is there a quick rebuild  or do I have to reenter the entries and renumber again?

Well I got it to load okay by completing up thru Step 2 of your instructions.  As of now everything seems to be working.  Thanks to all who helped.  Norm I sometimes think I may take advantage of you but your knowledge of the system is superb.  There is a myriad of extremely knowledgeable people on this site.

When I deactivated the add-ons.cfg it started.  When I deactivated add-ons cfg and activated scenery.cfg it did not.  It tried to generate scenery files but hung at 67% and would go no further.  I have tried twice now to send the scenery.cfg file via the forum but it failed.  So I sent it to you by private email Norm.  I hope you still have the same email you had back in the AKA days.

Renaming scenery.cfg and add-ons.cfg did the trick.  Now my scenery library shows nothjiong but default.  Does this mean I have to add everything back starting with Tongass as if I am doing a new install?  kIf so what a job.

Not really.  I save my current position and then select it from the screen without going to the default flight.

Same thing happened after deleting both files.  Went to a little over 12% then decreased to zero.  Tried to increase again but decreased to zero and stayed there.

It is doing exactly that in TM.  When you start it it goes up to about 16% and then drops to zero. It will try to increase % but again drops to zero and stays there.  Where is the cfg file located you want me to delete?
