The iced runways of the camps can also be activated in the FSX / P3D.
They are also functional in the FSX / P3D, not only in the P3Dv4+ ...

It is then behind the plane (in the outside view) no more dust whirled up.
But ... it is very slippery then.

That looks good.

Did the black buildings disappear after deleting the P3D shaders folder?
Or were you gone after disabling AddOns?

I meant all sceneries.
Not just RTMM sceneries.
Or are there no other scenes with you?

If so, then please delete or rename the P3D shaders folder.
The folder is recreated when the P3D is started.
You can find the folder under AppDate / Local / Lockheed Martin / Prepar3D v4 / Shaders

Imer still black buildings?

@BBQSteve
do I understand it right...
Except SIRP
-All AddOn sceneries (Pay and Freeware) turned off / disabled?
-All object libraries have been turned off / disabled?

As my recommendation in the previous post?

And the buildings are still black?

Yes you are right.
Now it is looking for the needle in a haystack (a German proverb).

Please disable all AddOns (except TongassFjordX).
Continue disabling all additional object libraries (including RTMM).

Now only the P3D standard sceneries, TongassFjordX and SIRP should be active.

Please leave the 00_P3D4_SIRP_Buildings_LIB.bgl deactivated.

As a result, a lot more objects are missing in the SIRP base ...
But it's only about the black buildings.

What does the result look like now?

Okay...
Then set please again with the configurator on P3Dv4 + and then disable the 00_P3D4_SIRP_Buildings_LIB.bgl...
Just attach to bgl still .xxx ...

What about the SIRP base (PAPG)?
Still black buildings or are the buildings missing now?

Since which version do you use SIRP?
And since which version do you have the problems with the black buildings?

Please use the configurator to activate the FSX / P3D objects.
Is the problem still there then?

Please check the camp's (SRC 2/3/4/8) for black objects.

Exist on your PC the following files?
- SIRP_ lens_ez_oil_drums.bgl
- SIRP_Buildings_LIB.bgl
- SIRP_Misc_LIB.bgl

These are from the first SIRP publication and must be deleted / disabled.
Duplicate objects often generate such errors (black objects).

Only the following files may exist and be active!
For FSX / P3D setting in the configurator:
- 00_FSXP3D_lens_ez_oil_drums_LIB.bgl
- 00_FSXP3D_SIRP_Buildings_LIB.bgl
- 00_FSXP3D_SIRP_Misc_LIB.bgl

For P3Dv4 + setting in the configurator:
- 00_P3D4_lens_ez_oil_drums_LIB.bgl
- 00_P3D4_SIRP_Buildings_LIB.bgl
- 00_P3D4_SIRP_Misc_LIB.bgl

Which files are active with you?

Yes, the SIRP Update 2.3 has been online for three days.
Did you use the configurator and put on P3Dv4 +?
And does the problem of black buildings still exist?
Are there any black buildings in the camps?

So...
Some buildings were also used in SCR2 / 3/4/8.

But first please delete the old SIRP version and install new version 2.3...

Important...
Delete old version!
Otherwise old files are preserved.
Filenames have changed!

Which P3D version are you using exactly?

This barrel comes from the object library CeyX_Sceneries_LibrariesFSXP3D / CX_Oil_Drum.bgl ...

I'll take a look again, it's fine in the P3D4.

Addon Scenery and Enhancements / Re: P3D V4 - Smoke
« on: November 07, 2017, 02:39:11 PM »
Hello Rod,
Please check your small object with attached smoke at different airport heights.
In the flight simulators since the FSX (or even earlier) there is a bug.
Which attached effects are no longer placed at the intended location on the object.

The higher the object with the effect is placed, the greater the deviation of the effect.
In most cases the deviation is visible from a height of 2500ft above sea level (MSL).

For better illustration, I placed a test object ("gen_tv01", a standard MS object) at different heights.
The tower has an attached effect at the top (a red flashing light).

The test object placed in Petersburg (PAPG) ...
The ground here has a height of 96ft (MSL).

Side view ...

Top view…

As you can see, everything fits very well.

Test object placed in Porcupine Camp (SIRP) ...
The ground here has a height of 5960ft (MSL).

Side view ...

Top view…

Here's the whole thing now looks different.

This bug is probably due to the fact that the developers of MS at that time tried to represent the flight simulator world as a globe.
In P3Dv4 this bug is still available.

My thoughts are here with Doug.
He is doing a lot of work.

If required, I will gladly provide my modified smoke effects (Yes Bay Lodge, Taku Lodge, Gilbert Bay, Misty's Place).
And I can also help with the further modifications of the smoke effects.

With me there is an extra Bgl file for the smoke effects, because I use the XML file as a basis.
