General Discussion / Re: Medical flight plans
« on: April 19, 2018, 04:19:58 PM »
Don't think there are FP for the Medical Dispatches yet... as the Medical dispatches were a waypoint exercise.

But make sure you get the 1.2.3 (Libraires, RTMM Dispatches and Medical facilities).. and activate the Dispatches sceneries or you can't see the medical emergencies... . (

As you may know from the medicals page there are:
51 Medical Dispatches..
35 Medical Facility locations

Might get to these as Medicals as MFC tours down the road but in the mean time, the only way to see or get to the dispatch emergencies right now is to use the Lat/Long in the gps (unless someone has created FP.)

I know not much help but the gps and starting points that are on the page do work.

Prepar3D-Version 4 / Re: Fairbanks

No problem at all xxd.  You can put Effects in with the default effects OR you can create your own Effects folder for any other add-ons effects - and put them there. In the latter case all you have to do is specify that new Effects folder path in the effects.cfg file of the sim.. Like it can be anywhere: inside or outside your sim - and the path just specified in the effects.cfg file and the sim picks them up.

IE: Effects.cfg (C:\ProgramData\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4)

Title=Default Effects
Title=XXD09's Addon Effects
Path=D:\Addons\XXD09's Effects

In the above effects.cfg file the sim will seamlessly pick up all the effects that are in the sim default effects folder  as well as the effects that are in your addons effects folder (ie: at path > D:\Addons\XXD09's Effects (Or whatever or wherever you create the folders- either inside or outside your sim- and you set the path reference).

There are lots of ways to do things.. between establishing the paths via xml files and/or by the cfg file entries you can set the paths to every sim component not just effects and as long as you have the correct paths to these folders your sim will pick them up - so you can do just about anything and it will seamlessly work.

General Discussion / Re: Cabins by the lake confusion??
« on: April 18, 2018, 12:22:49 PM »
Two different scenery pieces..

Cabins by the Lakes (1) has 89 Scenery Files

Cabins by the Lakes (II) has 59 Scenery Files  (and this contains the next set of cabins, and is not an update to the first set and between both Cabins zips (1) and (2) there are 148 different bgl files).

PS: Now if you really want to you can put all 148 bgl files in the same scenery folder.. no issue there but you need the bgl scenery files from both zips to see all the cabins that are by those lakes!).

The real Lilooet Lake ICAO is CYLI.  As far as the sim is concerned, no Lillooet Lake. (Don't have any of that mountain scenery) but no Lillooet Lake in any of the RTMM add-ons or in anything else that I have installed.

Completed MFC0013.

Thanks for the helo trips.  Great fun.

Yes sir Danny.. you are the Helo guru in here so had to do that one.. (even though we found out the Helo pads weren't exactly placed on the glacier locations at all locations but hey close).lol.. The award for MFC0013 Tongass PTF HELO trip has been added to your list of completed excursions. Nice job.

Yep. kind of need:

1. Ocean Falls
2. Whiskey Cove
3  NAC Bases

(note: THE NAC lib is now in the NAC Kispiox so you need that too..) (Place the NAC library folder below the NAC Kispiox folder as well as the NAC Bases folder).

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / Re: MFC0013 - Helipads Missing?
« on: April 16, 2018, 01:55:12 PM »
Danny this Helo tour is based on the files contained in TongassX - so it has to be installed to see these but many are just small strips or high ground rocks between glacier flows.

The bgl files are in the Tongass X Scenery Folder in the Tongass Fjords Higher Priority scenery folder
 IE:  >> AF2_FSX_TF_PTF6_AI_Helicopter_Telegraph_Creek.BGL
When you go to these some of these PTF locations do you see a strip or buildings? Like at PTF6?
Some of these actually resemble a small strip rather than a defined helo pad. Like IE: PTF6 Airport ICAO: PTF6 (it has a med receiving center - runway) .

The glacier transits PTF locations are more less just some higher ground or glacier clearings to be able to sit a helicopter down. There is no "H" markings or even buildings.  (The last pic is the rock on which PTF5 sits.. just a rock or some high ground between two glacier flows)

Sounds like you have Tongass installed if you are seeing something.. I'll watch for you on Discord and we can discuss more when we're both on and we can compare notes. PTF spots are very ruffage spots- nothing fancy up here!

(PS: pics attached of PTF6.. and Med dispatch scenery activated. (M027)
This is PTF6 at Telegraph Creek, BC - with med receiving center - runway.

If the med stuff is not on, you should still see this small airstrip and not a helo pad per say even though they refer to it as an AI helicopter location). (just a spawn point).

That 2nd last pic is that PTF5 location - high ground between two surrounding Glacier flows and the last on is PTF4-Great Glacier... again just a clearing to set down at the base of "Great Glacier".
