Hmm. Ok Jim. Happens once in a while-not too common but you indeed can just run a leg as a single flight.. Then carry on in the tour.

To run the single flight: In the tour details or on the FP itself for a spefic flight leg there is the corresponding single flight Number. So you can run or re-run any tour leg flight.

IE: Leg 4 of tour MFC0030 is single flight # MFCT00361-6A1  (This is shown in the tour details and right on the flight plan that is in the tour download).

So you can either do one of the following to load this flight: (Or to load any other single flight).

1. Call up the flight schedules and bid on it as you would a tour leg. (Cigar Box will draw the flight leg as per usual.
(To get to the listing of all the single flights to be able to bid on the flights:
> Go to the MFC site> Pilot Center >> Flight Operations section * View Flight Schedules >> Click Find Flights: (All of the single flights will load). Scroll down to the flight or search the page for MFCT00361-6A1
and you should go right to it:

MFCT00361-6A1 (PACV - MRTN)
Departure: 12:00         Arrival: 12:57
Equipment: C185F (N185TMM) Distance: 36.9nm
Days Flown: Su M T W Th F S
Route: Stop-over at 1. Softuk Bar Cabin (STUK)
Notes: MFC0030 Chugach National Forest Expedition Leg 04
                                                                                                               View Details
                                                                                                                 Pilot Brief
                                                                                                                 Add to Bid
Click "Add to Bid"  (And that field will change to Bid added)

In Cigar Box >> Run as normal >> Get Flight Data and the bid will load. Start > Fly the flight> File. Done

OR

2. In Cigar box>> "Main" tab >> Settings >> check the Search by Flight Number Box >> Save.

Then simply paste the complete flight #  "  MFCT00361-6A1  " into the Flight number box >> Get Flight Data and that flight should load. Fly and file.   Done.

Hope this helps Jim.

Tour MFC0017 TF Docks & Cabin Inspections completed by Alan  G. Pilot# MFC0083 on 11-15-2019.

All docks and cabins found in good condition.  Another enjoyable tour.

Got path length errors when trying to open the flight plans, but found a work-around in the forum - move the path to the unzipped folder to a less lengthy path name. IMO the file names do not need so much information.

Yes sorry about the long named FP.. (I was trying to be descriptive!) but you got it.. move the fp to a short folder path or shorten up the actual the name of the FP itself.  In any event, you got it Alan and definately noticed that you flying up a "storm" today on the MFC0017 TF Docks & Cabins excursion!
The MFC0017 completion award has been pinned to your flight suit!.

While flying the MFC0017 excursion you also achieved the milestone of reaching 100 flying hours at MFC. This milestone ribbon has also been added to your award list.

Nice job Alan.

Yes the dialog shows failed (which is a the response from the site due to pilots/module calculations). (We don't have an adjustment in Cigar Box to compensate for the increased time for the site to calculate: this due to the thousands of pireps in the system but even though this condition exists, the pireps for all the pilots are always forwarded upon send and are immediately received by the site.

Simon has a bigger problem of system connection through firewall or antivirus or something on his system else that is preventing Cigar Box from either correctly starting up or from maintaining connectivity to the site.

There is only two cases I know of where there are these issues with cigar box, both in Europe: one being Simon in the UK and the other being a pilot in Spain.

Although we get false non-completions from Cigar Box when filing pireps at time, in which they actually are immediately filed on submission, normally there is no connection issues or startup issues. Something is blocking your Cigar Box install or it's installed a protected folder.  Still thinking your virus scanner or malware app is eating your Cigar Box and preventing it from operation. Perhaps your FSUICP is not installed correctly - We have been over this a few times - something is preventing your Cigar Box or connections from working.

Henry is there any more assistance that can be offered?

Your C337 Skymaster RED one ?. Sure 337 is close enough to an AC500! If you got it, fly it! (except jets!) and just use the closest aircraft in the fleet. (The real aircraft used is actually stamped on the log.... (twice)
