Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / Re: Super Cub for V4?
« on: May 06, 2019, 12:54:22 PM »
Now that I think about it you have to update the panel sounds to hear the switches click.
"dsd_p3d_xml_sound_x64.dll For P3D v4 only" is used.

There is a discussion somewhere here at rtmm on how to do this for the aerosoft beaver but I can't find it - I used the same procedure for the flight sim super cub.

Think this can be done with ENVTEX also.
Plus it gives you a range of resolutions to choose from - not just 4096.

Interesting web site I stumbled onto:

Hi Steve,
I'm seeing the same as Karl; I just re-downloaded and double checked with the latest version of winzip.
Two redundant effects folders.

I'm only seeing it with tongass boats - have tried several different wake effects files with the Leconte and all produce the stripped wake in p3d 4.5
I 'm beginning to suspect it has something to do with the model files for those older boats.
I updated the anacapa and leconte with model convertor x to p3d4.4 and still get the stripped wake though - so may be something in how it is set up to produce wakes - way above my pay grade.

It's more pronounced from a distance - don't know if it was there in v4.4 or not. I didn't notice it until kaha pointed it out but I was already running 4.5
If I get curious maybe I'll reload the 4.4 client - doesn't take too long...

Hi Dex,
Running 4.5 also and I'm seeing the stripped wakes too - but as near as I can tell only with the Tongass boats;Leconte, Matanuska, Anacapa, and the fishing boats.
Maybe also the Marignan, the one used at Halibut cove.
Looks to me after watching them they are spawing in chunks thus the stripped effect
Hope this helps,

Prepar3D-Version 4 / Re: Prepared v4.5 is released!
« on: April 09, 2019, 05:47:29 PM »
Installed the client, hifi AS beta for v4.5 and pta 2.65.
No problems so far.....

I've been using Lorby for a year or more.
I have two  folders in Documents/Prepar3D v4 Add-ons:
RTMM Libraries and RTMM Sceneries.
So far that has worked for me; I add the libraries and sceneries under the Scenery heading using scenery and library for the Add-on.xml title.
Sound, Effects, SimObjects etc. I add under the Other addons heading.
Haven't used the Groups feature yet.

I have the wooden dock too P#Dv4.4
only thing I have is ORBX PNW - but that would also show in v3?
Also have all Larry Robinson's scenerys - but all of his are a lot more detailed.
Guessing it was added in p3d v4.4

Probably not a universal fix for all the other leaky chimneys huh.

Perfectly clear skies in the RTMM area tonight...

Hard to believe, but we're having a drought here in SE Alaska.
Tyee Hydro is shut down waiting for rain - we didn't get enough snow last winter to get us through the summer - might be tough on the salmon spawning later this summer
