General Discussion / PC-6 Turbo-Porter by Milviz
« on: June 12, 2019, 11:11:06 AM »
I wonder, nobody posted this up to now ...

A few days ago MilViz published their PC-6 Turbo-Porter completely surprisingly.
- Prepar3D v4.5 -

I suspect that this STOL plane  will find friends here at RTMM as well.

Read here:

Registered owners of other Milviz airplanes should have received an email with a code for a 20% discount.

For a long time already I often wonder why many users' screenshots are showing a blurry grass ground texture layout.

This blurried looking grass can even occur in high-end computer systems regardless correct hardware-adapted settings and current graphics card drivers.

Most times it's due to the file "detail1.bmp".
But there is a simple help available. A small freeware solves the problem.

Go to:
http://www.drzewiecki-design.net/prodDD_GrassX.htm
and download " Drzewiecki Design Grass v2.5"
Although the software is from 2017 it's still working well! (also under Win10)
The .exe file doesn't need a specific folder to be placed in.

The installer has a selection of flight simulators from FS2004 to P3D v4 and sets the selected ground texture automatically.

The affected file "detail1.bmp" is under

\Your Flight Simulator \ Scenery \ World \ Texture

Please save this file as a backup before you run the grass design software.
(Ok, it's a big file that will be created.)

I am sure  an attempt will convince you!

Addon Scenery and Enhancements / Yes Bay Lodge V2
« on: February 15, 2019, 02:17:53 PM »
... where have all the flowers trees gone?

I wonder if the scenery was changed, I'm now missing the many trees around the lodge (attached screenshots - before and now)

The Moorings - On the Water / AI Hovercraft
« on: January 21, 2019, 04:25:55 AM »
Long time RTMM users will remember way back about 2011 when the first CIRP version was published. There was an AI Hovercraft part of the package.
This Hovercraft made the trips between Soule Landing and the Stewart, BC area.
Now that we have the new "CIRP_Hovercraft_2019" it should be possible to create an AI version again.

- I tried following: I took the old version (veh_Hovercraft_sm) and changed the [model] folder using the new one from "CIRP_Hovercraft_2019". Additionally I used in the old traffic file (trafficSouleHover.bgl)
- Result: AI Hovercraft is in action.
Problem: the prop doesn't spin.

Ok, I'm not a specialist in this business. Maybe someone more experienced user will find a solution.

General Discussion / PlanG POIs for Scotland
« on: August 18, 2018, 02:42:21 AM »
... To whom it may concern ...

Flightsimmers who have Orbx Scotland installed might be interested to get all POIs that come with the software.

If you run PlanG you might be interested to import my TWChugach2.csv file.
All of Rod's TWC2 scenery waypoints are marked.
(except for the small flock of Dall Sheep in the mountains - that's up to you to find them ...)

Addon Scenery and Enhancements / Dalton Highway and Sceneries
« on: June 12, 2018, 12:06:09 PM »
The next step into the far north has been completed.

Brad and friends published "Dalton Highway" and 4 additional  adjacent sceneries along the way.
Another great piece of work, well designed  and perfectly adapted to the landscape.
Well worth to take a flight from the Yukon River (unlisted airfield at Yukon Crossing) up north to explore the new creations in the wilderness.

Thanks for these very nice addons.

P.S.
Just a small problem on ground at PF66.

General Discussion / Orbx Germany PlanG files
« on: November 09, 2017, 03:38:59 AM »
... to all whom it may concern...

I created PlanG files for Orbx Germany software completely (North and South).
I also updated my former "Germany North beta" version.
Included are about 1500 POI's like lighthouses, castles, churches, towers, masts, chimneys, bridges, power plants, monuments a.s.o.

Interested users will get the download at "Dieter's Corner" - "PLAN-G Data Files used by additional (NOT-RTMM) software programs"
- ORBX Germany North

Help and Troubleshooting / RTMM sounds in P3Dv4
« on: July 29, 2017, 05:44:56 AM »
During the past days I noticed that I don't have any RTMM environment sounds in my RTMM sceneries installed to P3Dv4.
Just some examples:
- CBT3/Pan Phillips
- CAS2/Moose Lake Lodge Airstrip
- TF20/Gilbert Bay Airfield
- PF20/Misty's Place
I wonder how come.

What about other users of P3Dv4? Do you have same experience?

P.S. All necessary effect-, sound-files (wav and bgl) installed.

Help and Troubleshooting / Twin Lakes Airstrip problem
« on: June 11, 2017, 05:19:19 AM »
Attached is a screenshot how the "new" CAF4 area is dispayed im my FSX Gold.
My installation looks totally different to what is presented in your screenshot included in the scenery.
(Orbx CAF4 runway is originally a gras strip)
I have no idea what could be wrong. All RTMM sceneries are in priority higher than all Orbx stuff.

General Discussion / Orbx Germany North csv-file
« on: May 31, 2017, 10:11:51 AM »
... to all whom it may concern...

If you have Orbx scenery Germany North installed you might be interested in the PlanG csv-file for the area.
Not yet complete but about 90% of the POI's are included. (about 650 POI's at this stage, i.e. lighthouses, wind parks, churches, castles, towers, chimneys, bridges a.s.o.)

Download at "Dieter's Corner" - "PLAN-G Data Files used by additional (NOT-RTMM) software programs"

Help and Troubleshooting / Gilbert Bay
« on: January 15, 2017, 09:23:40 AM »
Could someone please check Gibert Bay/TF20 running in P3D.
(I experience a CTD each time just before the scenery has been built up completely. This is under P3D v2.4)

Start your flight at Healy River/HRR, follow the stampede trail and do a search for Supertramp Christopher McCandless' bus.

A new well done scenery created by Thomas Menzel:
