Addon Scenery and Enhancements / Hollis Habor
« on: August 02, 2014, 10:05:04 AM »
I just enjoyed the flight to Hollis Habor and will continue to discover the area.
There are, however, a lot of trees everywere in the water in that area. Please see the attached picture.
Any ideas what is wrong here?
Thanks for your help!

Addon Scenery and Enhancements / All-in-One Package?
« on: July 23, 2014, 07:48:38 AM »
Dear All,
I still think it would be great to have all the sceneries at hand in P3D without installing 90+ locations separately by hand.
Inspired by the Legacy Collection may I ask if the following would work:
I would download all the RTTM sceneries, unzip them and then copy all the BGL-files from the respective scenery-folder to one “All-BGL”-folder, copy all respective Sound-files into one “All-Sounds”-folder and all respective Effects-files into one “All-Effects”-folder.
In a second step I would copy the Sound-files to the sound-folder of P3D2, the Effects-files into the Effects folder of P3D2 and the All-BGL-folder into the Addon-Scenery folder in P3D2. I would then add the All-BGL-folder as Scenery in the Scenery Library.
AI-traffic files (for boats or floats) would also be copied to their place in P3D.
Would this work? Would also the Season Switcher work?
What about the texture-files that come with some sceneries? Where do they need to go?
Thanks for an answer!
Many happy landings

Help and Troubleshooting / I don't see water in PlanG
« on: July 15, 2014, 12:22:35 PM »
Dear All,
I have switched over to PlanG 3.1 and now I don't see any colored water on the map. I see the mountans and (I think) everything else but there is no water.
That makes it sometime hard to see were the coast-line is.
I trust that this is a mistake on my side and would be grateful for any hints as to what I do wrong...
Thanks and many happy landings!

General Discussion / The next generation is on the horizon
« on: September 23, 2013, 09:58:56 AM »
It appears as if P3D 2.0 is now in beta stage. Officials stated that it will be released this year! See more details here http://www.orbxsystems.com/forum/topic/65210-prepar3d-v-20-in-beta/
So I think it may be time to prepare for the next generation of simulation.
BTW: I have tested the demo-version of x-plane 10 lately and was suprised (not as bad as I have thought). And then I found these preview pictures for Canada!(https://picasaweb.google.com/101666907909842492197/XPlane10HDMeshV2CanadaPREVIEW)
Nothing short of spectecular!

Addon Scenery and Enhancements / GoogleEarth data
« on: October 24, 2012, 11:59:17 AM »
I just have had the first flights in the Misty Moorings and really like what I see.
For the preparation of the flights I normally use Plan-G and the provided data.
Sometimes I would like to plan a trip when I am not at my FSX rig but somewhere else. For that it would be more than helpful to have a source of GoogleEarth data or at least a Excel-sheet in which I can sort the sceneries for their geographical relevance (like lat/long-data).
Is something like this available?
Happy landings,

Help and Troubleshooting / Problem with the Lib_tester
« on: October 18, 2012, 04:16:00 AM »
Dear All,
I am a longtime FSX pilot and was addicted to bushflying in the NA by ORBX and Holger and Bill... Now I intend to take the next step and I am looking forward to spend some time over the next months in the Misty Moorings.
As I was taking the first step yesterday I was trying to install the library tester. I downloaded and unzipped it. I recognised two folders in the Main folder: One RTTM_Lib_Test and one readme text. The RTTM_Lib_Test-folder contained a .BGL file. Strange was that this folder was previously only containing two other (empty) folders (Scenery and ...). The RTTM_Lib_Test folder was then copied into the AddonScenery Folder in my FSX directory.
I opened up FSX and went to the Scenery Library and inteded to add the new scenery. I browsed to the AddonScenery folder and selected the RTTM_Lib_Test but was unable to select that. Instead it appeard to be opened and the folders contained were displayed. I selected the Scenery folder (contained in the RTTM_Lib_test folder) but was unable to open it since I could not select it.
I then copied the BGL-file directly into the Scenery-folder of the Main-AddonScenery-Folder but was still unable to select it in FSX.
What was I doing wrong? Any help is appreciated.
Thanks and happy landings!

P.S. it is possible that the nemes of the folders are slightly different from what I mentioned above but that is what I remember now that I am not at my FSX computer...
