Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / sunken airfields
« on: October 29, 2019, 02:07:16 PM »
Has anyone else who has finished MFC0029 had vector problems with sunken airfields. You get to the destination and the airfield is down in a hole. This has happened to me at dozen or more. I've run the auto config  program in Vector  but doesn't seem to correct the problem, if I do it manually then it works and the elv is correct no sunken airfield. Not sure if it's a landclass  and Vector not talking to each other or what. Sure messes up the landing ratings

Been an interesting 48 hours, was at the hanger Wed when the whole building started spinning, someone caught me before I hit the floor. I never lost consciousness, but every time  I would try to sit up, got real nauseous. They called the ambulance and off to St Luke hospital I went. Had a CT scan and a MRI and a whole host of tests for stroke, heart attack. So after 5 to 6 hours ruling out everything else, they came to the conclusion, that I was having a case of Vertigo. I don't know if anyone has had it, but it was about the scariest thing I have been thru. Been on the phone with the FSDO here in Boise and it sounds like I won't be flying charters for a year and not even sure after that. They warned me not to fly w/o a copilot, or I could be revoked all together, which goes w/o saying I wouldn't even try it after last Wed. Anyway just curious if anyone here has had Vertigo and what was your outcome

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / landings between points A n' B
« on: August 01, 2019, 01:25:09 PM »
Questions, I am at a rock n' a hard place, I'm on MFC0027 leg 3 and trying to land at one of the stops at ECUC, I've tried landing both ways multiple times and can not get the landing rate below the 600 max rate. So my question is are these landings mandatory  or not. if so I guess my quest has come to an end

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / pilatus porter
« on: July 28, 2019, 01:08:14 PM »
Norm Any thought to adding the PC6 Pilatus Porter to the aircraft list. I have a FSDS version with the old Misty's paint job that was for FS9 an also Milviz  has one for P3dv4

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / missing airstrip
« on: June 06, 2019, 07:10:24 PM »
On MFC0022 leg 14, there was suppose to be a stop over at 7AK/PAUT. I couldn't pull up any info on the GPS for either identifier as to runway length and elevation and when I arrived at the waypoint could not see any evidence of an airstrip. Once I arrived at PACS, I closed down the box and went into the map page and typed in the lat/long I got from Air Nav and there was still no airstrip to be seen. Curious as to what scenery pkg I'm missing

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / gremlins at work
« on: May 30, 2019, 02:07:37 PM »
Started fly MFC0022 and flew the 1st leg from PAKN to  AK60 no problem, then went in to the tour center page to get the next leg and got the green check mark, but when I opened the cigar box it showed the first leg again. Tried it two more times, even though on the tour page it showed I was ok'd to fly the second leg. I closed out the box and FSX and the tour page and reopened all  and then it showed I had completed leg 2 and showed the details to fly leg three. Now I'm confused I go to the pilots page and all it shows was completing leg 1 Not knowing what else to do or where to go, I flew the 2nd leg w/o the cigar box.  Now I'm going to see if everything works for leg 3

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / WTH

Norm, for some reason the flight plan in FSX had a hang up on a previous flight plan on tour MFC0018 directing me to PAGS, I didn't notice it until I landed at  PAGS I had to actually make up a flight to somewhere else to have it finally get rid of the PAJN to PAGS plan, so if you could delete the completion for leg 1 of MFC0019 and I'll refly tomorrow to Skagway

General Discussion / /see what happens when you take a nap

I've just become aware that the real wx option in FSX is no longer available, surprised it lasted as long as it did. I digress, what weather programs are everyone using, Looked a realwx it's freeware but sometimes you get what you pay for. So anyway I would like some feedback what everyone is using. I usually refrain from clear skies of fair weather as much as possible Blue Skies n' Tail Winds Jim

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / GPS not showing the cabins
« on: March 14, 2019, 07:47:09 PM »
don't know why the GPS is not working with the flight plans, it just won't recognize the identifiers for the cabins on MFC0017 I have to keep pulling up plan G and then look at the GPS to see if any thing looks similar as far as land mass and then once I land taxi around until hopefully I find a cabin. I know I must be missing a file or folder but I can't seem to put my finger on it. Open to any n' all ideas

General Discussion / The Aerosoft Beaver
« on: March 01, 2019, 08:04:54 PM »
Couldn't say how many hours I've flown the Aerosoft Beaver, nor how long ago I purchased it. Been flyin' it quite a bit and the amphibian model in particular, on the MFC tours. Due to the eyepoint and using the mouse to put the water rudders in the water I never notice when doing this the pilot's window slides down, raise the water rudders and the window slides up. It wasn't until the other day when panning around the cabin that I noticed this happening. I looked in the documentation and I found under animations that in the wheel, tundra, models using the G key which normally be used to raise n'  lower the landing gear performs raises n' lowers the window,  I'm just amazed as old as this sim aircraft is and there are still Easter Eggs to find

Help and Troubleshooting / OK now I'm really confused
« on: February 20, 2019, 04:04:52 PM »
OK I've updated everything except the PAKT CIRP folder for the ORBX payware for PAKT, which I've done away with long ago because of the frame rates and have just stuck with the default airport and default CIRP office. and I downloaded the  CIRP paint job for the AS 350 load, so far so good. I took a quick hop from Misty's to PAKT and there is the PAKT CIRP office I'm guessing about  20 or 30  feet in the air, there is also a helo pad about the same  in the air, as well as a backhoe and other out building. I went to the scenery page to download the CIRP PAKT payware folder to see if I could find a similar bgl gile name. Now here's where I really got confused. I clicked on the zip icon for the payware version and it comes up ''do you want to run or save Maloney's Tavern v2.0 zip, if I go to the Maloney Tavern zip and click on it it comes up correctly. So in my limited understanding, the bgl's for the CIRP PAKT payware version are buried in one of the other updates, that's out of my pay grade and intelligence. I'd be interested to know what happened, and hope I can understand as well

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / MFC0011
« on: February 05, 2019, 08:24:43 PM »
Norm I couldn't see where anyone else mentioned this, but on the tour MFC0011 leg  MFCT00119 one of the waypoints FF22 takes you way down to somewhere in WA. I only notice it because my FSX don't like the flight plan name so I have to shorten them all. So when I went into save as it popped up. I even re downloaded the whole tour but it was still there. I went in with notepad and removed that FF22 waypoint for me but you might want to correct it for any guys flying it in the future  Blue Skies n' Tail  Winds Jim

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / anomolies
« on: January 21, 2019, 07:16:14 PM »
In going back and flying MFC002 and MFC003 found a couple of things with the starting points on a couple of legs with the new updated sceneries . With MFC002 when you let the flight plan select the starting point for the first leg at Misty's Place PF20, it put me in the large hanger and with the new scenery in the winter time the hanger door was closed. On MFC003 the starting point from Yes Bay Lodge MFCT00022 it loads you right on top of the dock. Just thought I mentioned it what with the new sceneries for both of these locations. Never notice it with the old sceneries

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / question about the cigar box
« on: January 19, 2019, 04:39:31 PM »
yesterday afternoon I was flying the CIRP MFC0099 and was about 3/4 thru it when a real life emergency occurred, so hit paused and took care of real life, which took longer than expected, This morning went to the sim to see if I could resume it, The sim had gone to CTD. My question is if that happens in the future where I'm called away, is there anyway to save my progress with the Cigar Box, I know there is with just FSX, how would one be able to with the Cigar Box, or would it be possible
