I just completed the referenced Leg of Tour MFC0027.  All the scenery was present at the stop over locations except was unable to locate landing lakes at the cabins at ECUC and DEVP.  I thought I had all the required scenery but am now unsure of: Plan G Users: CSC waypoints for the Chugach - (RTMM Scenery locations for Plan G - (By Dieter Linde):
TWChugach1 - Adds locations for The Western Chugach Part 1 (05.05.2015)
TWChugach2 - Adds locations for The Western Chugach Part 2 (Updated 07.26.2018).

I submitted the Pirep but would like to refly the Leg if I did not have proper scenery installed.

Thanks for your help.

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / Cigars Question
« on: June 24, 2020, 02:03:32 PM »

I think there may be something wrong/not working with my cigars?  In the past when a comment was added to a pirep the comment was listed at the bottom of the pirep.  Lately when I create a comment and select the add comment button nothing is added to the pirep.  I have also noticed that my pilot stats, when appropriate, are not listed in the monthly stat report.  It makes me think I am not fully connected?  Should I delete and reinstall cigars or could something else be wrong?

Thanks for your thoughts.

Misty Moorings and Misty Flying Club Pilots,

I recently built up a Windows 10 computer (Win 10 pro 64bit, intel i7 4790K CPU, AMD RX 580 8GB graphics card, 32 GB Ram, Gigabyte Z97 Gaming 1 MB) to upgrade from my Windows 7 platform that I have been using for FSX for a number of years.  FSX installed without any problems and I was able to activate the software.   The Acceleration Expansion installed without a problem.  However, on running the software a flag came up with error#1-80004005 listed.  It said the activation screen could not come up and until Acceleration could be activated FSX would only operate for 30 minutes.  I have searched this forum and others and found posts indicating the same problem.  As yet a solution to this error has not been forthcoming.  I would appreciate any thoughts any of you may have.

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / Prince George Airport Conflict (CYSX)
« on: November 26, 2019, 03:35:42 AM »
I flew the Quesnel to Prince George route (Tour MFC0007) and on arrival the runway was partially covered with material, trees were in the air, etc.  I am not sure what the conflict is with this airport. I believe I have the correct scenery for this tour.  I did notice that the PlanG route only has a triangle with no airport designator where the Prince George Airport is located on the Map.

Any thoughts on what the problem might be?

I would like to fly an individual Tour Route (MFCT00080-6A0) tracked by Cigars and am not sure how it should be done.   I checked the box for search by flight number and entered the individual tour route number from the documentation but am missing something as Flight info does not load.  I believe there were instructions for this but I am not sure where.

Also my FSX is not recognizing Kimsquit River.  The flight PLN will load but FSX will not take the aircraft to the starting point and Kimsquit River (P32B) is listed as "unknown" as a departure point for the plan.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

My FSX Flightplanner located Navman's Retreat as the destination in the 1st leg of Shortfield-Glaciers Tour.  The Flightplanner has not been able to locate Navman's Retreat as the start of the 2nd leg in Shortfield-Glaciers Tour.  The documentation did not indicate the 2nd leg of the Tour needed to be saved.   I have not had any problems with the Flightplanner recognizing/loading FLPs up to this point.  Maybe I should fly the 1st leg again and save it?  Have you any thoughts on what might be going on?

With all programs set up for a Tour departure-Flt Pln loaded in FSX and "OK" is selected the Flag that asks "do you want to move aircraft to departure location" does not come up.  I have reloaded earlier Hub Excursion Flt Plns and the move aircraft flag comes up in each".   Any thoughts on the problem would be appreciated.

Hello, I am William Butler and recently returned to Misty Moorings after an extended absence and new to Misty Flying Club.  First I would like to thank Norm Richards for his help in getting me setup in Misty Moorings and Misty Flying Club. His expertise is invaluable.

I have now completed The Misty Triangle Introductory Tour and the first two legs of the Hub Excursion and believe I have the Cigars program, individual FP bidding, Tour bidding, and Pirep submission, etc. down.  I do have a question: How are aircraft from my FSX fleet entered into Cigars?  I have tried to enter the A/C reg. and type in the XXXXX-XXX-XXX location in Cigars to no avail.  Any help would be appreciated.

I am thoroughly enjoying the flying.

Help and Troubleshooting / RTMM Flight Plans Don't Load
« on: April 27, 2019, 10:19:39 PM »
Hello Misty Moorings Pilots,

I recently returned to Misty Moorings after an extended absence.  I have loaded all sceneries and all 10 objects show up at PANT.  I read the Readme First-RTMM-MFC found in RTMM Flight Plans.  I installed as directed but selected flight plans will not load in the FSX Flight Planner.  Would appreciate any help/thoughts on what problem might be.  If this is not the forum for this question please point me in the right direction.

General Discussion / Controlling the Grumman Goose on water
« on: June 30, 2017, 01:19:01 PM »
I find using asymmetric power and rudder for turning the Goose in the simulation does not work satisfactorily.  I have added Jeff Greene's water rudder addon located  under Misty's repaints for the Grumman Goose in Enhancements.  As yet I am unable to deploy/put down the water rudders.  Crtl-W does not work for me and I have been unable to find another button combination the works.  I added the water rudder information to the end of the "Contacts Points" section in the aircraft.cfg file and believe it was done correctly. Finally, I use the standard OZ goose with Lloyd Dixion flight dynamics added.

I would appreciate any help/thoughts any one has to offer.

General Discussion / Best Grumman Goose for FSX
« on: April 01, 2016, 11:53:09 PM »
Hello, I am WilliamB and new to "Return to Misty Moorings".  I have the areas correctly setup and tested for Objects at PANT.  Have taken several flights out of Misty's Place in A2A's Cub and a RealAir Scout .  I am looking for help in finding an FSX Grumman Goose that models the flying characteristics well.  I find the RPM does not function correctly in the FSX Grumman Goose.  I added the OZ upgrade and it also has problems.  Really would like a Grumman Goose that models the original aircraft.  Does anyone have any recommendations?

If this is not the forum for this request please point me in the right direction.  The website is terrific and I look forward to flying and learning all the site has to offer.
