Object Libraries for RTMM / SCENERY.DAT file error
« on: March 26, 2019, 04:56:09 PM »
I have the latest UPDATE for RTMM required  FSXP3D Libraries Part IV_3.21.19  installed.
When I installed the add-on scenery Ocean Falls today, I got the following error when I start up FSX-SE:

SCENERY.DAT file error.  Close Flight Simulator and
delete 'addon scenery\rtmm\object libraries\ez
scenery libraryfsxp3d\scenery\fsxp3d lfwwkbr1'.
Click OK to continue.

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / Scenery requirements for MFC0011
« on: March 19, 2019, 05:51:16 PM »
I'm getting ready for MFC0011 after completing the first 10 Tours.  Am I reading the instructions correctly that I need to install all the RTMM sceneries that I haven't installed yet?  (Not including northern Alaska and Vancouver).

Thanks,
Steve

General Discussion / Aerosoft Beaver X Fuel Problem
« on: December 26, 2018, 12:39:59 PM »
Okay, so this has happened to me twice.

I fill up with fuel 100% in all 3 tanks and verify that the gauges show all 3 full. About 20 minutes into the flight my engine quits!  I look at the fuel gauges and they are all at EMPTY!  I have done some google searches for this problem and have come up with nothing.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

Misty Flying Club and Multi Player / Moving up the ranks
« on: December 20, 2018, 09:16:54 AM »
I see from the Pilot Center that I need 16.86 hours for promotion which would give me a total of 25 hours.  Does that continue on the same scale (25 hours per level)?

Also, at the Misty Flying Club page, under the "Pilots" tab, I see only 7 pilots listed.  Why is that and is there a place to see the entire roster of pilots?

Thanks for everything.  This is really fun!

General Discussion / Milviz Beaver GTN 430/530
« on: December 14, 2018, 08:52:41 AM »
I am new to using this Garmin model and am having problems following the flight plans.

I load the flight plan in FSX-SE, set the 530 to GPS with the CDI button.  The flight plan leg shows magenta on the Garmin map and I fly at an angle to intercept the first waypoint; however, when I engage autopilot in NAV mode, the aircraft never captures or follows the path.  It definitely is controlling the heading, but I'm not sure to where. >:(

Obviously, I am missing something.  Any help would be appreciated.

Addon Scenery and Enhancements / Misty Moorings Taxi Office
« on: December 15, 2017, 09:06:50 AM »
Hey Guys,

The Halibut Cove Trip Tic reads:

FROM: Wasilla, AK (PAWS)
TO:   Halibut Cove, AK (PFXX)

We start off at the Misty Moorings Taxi Office at the Wasilla Airport. Using the FSX MAP feature, set your aircraft at:

Latitude: N61 34.38
Longitude: W149 33.04
Heading: 288
Altitude: 0
Speed: 0

I have installed the Taxi Office but couldn't find it at the Wasilla Airport (PAWS).  I went to the map and relocated using the coordinates above and end up in the middle of the woods.

I must be doing something wrong.

By the way, I went ahead and flew the trip tic anyway and I just want to say the your Halibut Cove is spectacular!  I don't want to leave!.

Thanks,
Steve

Object Libraries for RTMM / Missing something
« on: July 09, 2017, 04:25:58 PM »
I have two issues when using the Objects Tester.
1. The #5 Blue building has only the skeleton of a roof.
2. The #9 Brad's BBQ has no smoke coming from Chimneys. I do get smoke from one of the other buildings and from cabins when I fly.

Thanks,
Steve

General Discussion / Aerosoft BeaverX
« on: May 24, 2017, 12:04:26 PM »
Does anyone remember if you are required to own a previous FSX version of the Aerosoft BeaverX to update to the 2.30 or 2.31?

I own the old FS2004 version (1.53 I think).  I am able to download 2.30 free using my FS2004 version key; the installation seems to work fine, but I can't get the aircraft to show up on the list.  I'm missing some files.

I probably won't purchase it because I prefer to wait for the Miviz Beaver.

Thanks,
Steve

Addon Scenery and Enhancements / Maps
« on: December 31, 2014, 06:11:12 PM »
Really enjoying RTMM and Alaska.

So I have installed:
Tongass Fjords
Pacific Fjords
Pacific Northwest
Southern Alaska
Legacy Collection
Plan-G with all the CSV files

Are there any online maps showing the boundaries/coverage areas of each?

Thanks!

Addon Scenery and Enhancements / Plan-G Misty's Place
« on: December 28, 2014, 01:05:37 PM »
I have not had any luck locating the CSV file for Plan-G that includes Misty's Place.  Can someone point me to that link?  Thanks!

Edit:  I am following the thread below me.  Sorry for duplicating...  I now realize that Misty's Place is not included in any CSV file.  I have imported all of them successfully.   I have rebuild my Plan-G database and there is no marker at all designating Misty's Place, but I know right where it is and have been flying there regularly.   :)

Addon Scenery and Enhancements / ORBX Objects Library
« on: December 27, 2014, 03:50:18 PM »
I am trying to confirm that I have the ORBX Object Libtary properly installed.  I believe it is installed in my FSX/Orbx/FTX_AU/FTXAA_ORBXLIBS folder.  The only Orbx scenery I have installed is the North America which is required fo RTMM.

General Discussion / New Scenery Install

I have purchased a new system and will be migrating from FS9 to FSX.

I want to make sure I have enough space.

What are the requirements for hard drive space?

Thanks,
Steve C

General Discussion / Glad to see Misty Moorings is back!
« on: February 02, 2011, 02:00:05 PM »
I used to hang out at Misty's way back when and am glad to see a renewed interest.  Probably won't upgrade to FSX but there is still much to enjoy with FS9 and all the custom add-on scenery for Misty Fjords, Tongass Fjords & Glacier Bay V2.   :)
