Hi Norm, there seems to be a problem loading leg 05 Springbank to Claresholm.
Having activated the right bid, loaded it (get flight data) I have wrong entries in the cigarbox:
Wrong aircraft selected, wrong departure and arrival icaos and a flightno with MFC 007* though all legs in MFC49 have 006* numbers..
When I start the flight a popup comes up, telling me I am 1051 m away from my departure
though I am situated at Springbank fuel box. No chance to continue...
[started Cigarbox several times, refreshed etc with no other result]

With you Steve,
But change from 32 Bit System to 64 Bit System changed my view.
You surely switched from DOS to Windows, didn'you?
Up to P3D v4.5 it is fully compatible with FSX, NOW WE HAVE PROBS WITH v5

Leg 3 KDVT Phoenix Deer Valley to KGYR to Phoenix Goodyear
There is a little flightplan confusion depending if you use LittleNavMap (LNM) or PlanG.
Heading for the second waypoint AZ34, LNM leads you to AZ34 Massey Farm (leg distance 117 nm, 291°),
PlanG leads you to AZ34 Harts Field (leg distance 14nm, 260°).
If you use autopilot and LNM as moving map, your plane will fly the way to Harts Field and you are wondering why it does not follow the course in LNM, if you fly manually and follow the course in LNM your are facing a long ride to Massey FArm and back to the Phoenix area.
If you use PlanG, manually or autopilot, you will find your destination easily, all OK.
Thats the result of the the new P3Dv5 db.

MFC0042 finished in P3Dv5 HF1, no Global Airport Pack in v5
Only 1 CTD, at Sedona, last airport just before touch down with open ATC window! VRAM usage OK.
I restarted P3D, setup at Sedona active rwy, taxi to my final position and could close the flight in Cigarbox.
Funny

Prepar3D-Version 5 / Re: DX12
« on: June 08, 2020, 11:30:01 AM »
Thank you Norm for this update.
Running DXDiag shows me I am using DX12 on the GTX980 card. Windows version is W10 2004 built 19041. P3Dv5 HF1 is performing good, 4 GB VRAM enough, at least during daytime. the only CTD`s happen if running out of VRAM.
So nothing to do for me actually on my system

P3Dv5 provides DX12. Can somebody explain pls what I am missing if my graphiccard is not DX12 ready? Is it worth buying a new graphiccard only for this reason ?

Ok
My thought is: why do yo build up a modern system and use an oldtimer Sim?
