Prepar3D-Version 4 / Re: Moh Creek smoke
« on: May 16, 2020, 05:38:37 AM »
Oh, well, sorry I cannot speak for Prepar3D v5!
(I don't have it installed up to now and I don't intend to do so the next time)

If everything is installed correctly it works like "Bushpilot" reported.

These problems are often reported nowadays with v5.
This is what Nick Cooper/Orbx forum recommends this to do first:

Well, sorry, you are right, my fault!

Oh Doug, that doesn't look good in any way.
Nick Cooper recommends as first step:

Prepar3D-Version 5 / Re: P3Dv5 Problem with Hardened Object Surfaces
« on: April 21, 2020, 03:25:02 AM »

"""Hence vector isn't and won't be further developed going forward into v5."""

Global VECTOR is not a proprietary product of Orbx development but was developed by the Austrian software company "Pilot's" for Orbx. Orbx was only responsible for sale.
This software has never been particularly maintained since its release.
I think Orbx is more than happy that this product, which has been buggy until today, will now be removed from the Orbx software offer list.
P3D v4.x users will still be dependent on it.

Many thanks to all authors for providing this huge and well done Bahamas addon package.
Very appreciated especially during this "stayhome" period!

Just checked the pipeline at 5CD. No problems found.

@Thomas, did you install the very latest version of BWEP airports (payware version), refreshed 12.11.2019?

NOTAMs and NEWs / Re: my confusion once again

The "RTMM Refresh Campaign" major project requires the designers to spend a lot of working time to implement their ideas into new sceneries,  associated with high expenditures and countless hours in front of the computer.
And it's only natural and understandable that errors/discrepancies need to be corrected or improvements must be made in timely manner. As a result updates/corrections are often uploaded. Of course, sometimes data may change within 2 days.
To be up-to-date requires the user to stay on the ball reading latest news/Notams - not too rarely.
Admittedly, it's not always easy for us users. But we should be glad that dedicated designers put a lot of effort into delivering excellent scenery quality.

A good address to be up to date in latest informations is:

Addon Scenery and Enhancements / Re: Misplaced Ferry or Ferry Accident ?
« on: November 20, 2019, 04:11:59 AM »
That's "Ferry2" in (Prepare 3D v4\SimObjects\Boats) running between Coal Harbor and Quatsino /Indian settlement.
The schedule is in trafficBoats.bgl.
As Dex already wrote to avoid this average you can only delete this object (or ignore it)

Screenshots / Re: How cool is this?
« on: October 14, 2019, 03:28:56 AM »
"""The creator of the scenery is Jay Langham."""
This should be known:
I made a note in "Readme Installation.txt" when the scenery was republished in the FSX/P3D version by Mike.
(But who reads the "readme's" ... )
Additionally I had contact to Jay Langham who gave his consent for this revised new addition.
Nevertheless it's good to mention his name in the scenery presentation again.

Well Sue, 500 was just an example, I also spent much more through the years ...

"it surpasses OrbX"
I don't believe in miracles. Let's wait and see, we might talk about it in a year again.
