Wow Time flies lol. Well last time I was here I was with the Canadian Armed Forces with 440Sq in Yellowknife. Well my absent here is do to the USCG req the CAF to send me back as they were short pilots in Dist 9 and CAF 440Sq had a abundance of personal. So the CAF ping ponged me back to the USCG. Im now with Dist 9 in the Upper Midwest  and now call a HH65C Dolphin my office, no more CC138 Twotter.  So now you know what a RW Military Ping Pong pilot is lol. One-Eye how are you doing if you see this post?

There is a scenery for FSX called Snowdogs that has the burning barrels. I just ran the EXE to a dummy folder and extracted the objects to form a obj lib. I have been working on the airfields like a beaver. You could do that if you have Instant scenery. Just a thought.

Surprisingly to a lot of people, the Cessna 208 is a quitessential "modern" Bush Plane... a great deal of Charter Operators in Alaska use it, as well as Hageland Aviation (oh, I guess it's Era Alaska now) using it in Mainline Duty...   the stock Grand Caravan has a 1900 ft takeoff roll, and it sits high enough off the ground that prop strikes on gravel strips are nearly unheard of.. the Cessna 208 Caravan 1 (now marketed as the Cessna 675 due to the 675 horsepower PT6A) has the option of operating on floats, while the Grand Caravan is just too heavy for the PT6 powerplant to be able to use floats.. The most noticable Charter operator in Alaska using the 208/675 Floatplane is Rusts' Flying Service..  There are also a huge (and growing) number of Canadian bush operators using the Caravan, as well as a number of operators in sub-Saharan Africa..

Yep our largest operator in territorial Canada is Air Tindi. They operate the largest fleet of C208's in any configurations and also have a large Twotter Fleet and C185's and DHC7's. Just recenlty they got there mitts on a couple 1900D's.

I'm only in the midst of learning the skill and art of painting with PS and  Also tinkering around with Google sketch up building signs and small objects.  Was going to practice more this weekend, but a CF188B patrol flight RW in the rio seat called me in from the CC138 pilot pool. Darn flu is running again up here.

"Are" and "should be"...

I've removed and re-installed.

The fault is an FSX thing though - I get the "Rebuilding Indexes" right enough, it's just that FSX goes into that endless loop at 6%...

You have my curiousness. I have both IS 1 and 2 and never experienced this, hum.

Very creative Chris. I just took her spin and had a wonderful time. I also found out this paint works with the Enforcer model, security duty anyone? Need security detail in case of visiting high rollers on vacation to one of many MM cabins?

Some folks need a spare!

Well I fly the RW DHC 6 Twotter and the CAF variant CC-138 and I live by the Yellowknife Water aerodome.
The default is pretty accurate and one of few things MS got right. Ask any beaver driver on Vancouver Island in BC and they'll agree. Sonic's set is also fairly accurate for the beaver. Just remeber a golden rule of the Beaver and Twotter no two are a like. A good pilot of these two must make them there 2nd and 3rd wife and they'll get you home safe to the No1 wife and dinner. Also #1 don't second guess your air mech.
