As an 'Old Dinosaur' from the days of the original "Misty Moorings", I just wanted to take a minute to say "Thanks" for the countless hours of enjoyment M.M. and R.T.M.M  has provided for me over the years.

However, I do have one suggestion.

Please move the "Donation" link from the bottom, to the TOP of the Homepage so I'll remember to offer some 'Payback' once in a while for all the amazing content here that I use and for what must go into maintaining a site like this.

You Folks ARE 'The Best'

Thanks !

Not a problem Norm.  Don't worry about it.  Just thought I'd let you know how it went FYI.

I did BID on the next leg #12, I needed to fly, but it never showed as 'Completed' after I flew it, so I just went and BID on the next legs individually.

I figured it maybe had something to do with it changing the aircraft I had originally started the tour with.

For some reason Cigar Box picked up the last (Non-Tour) aircraft I flew (my new Otter) and assumed I would be using it on the Tour now.

I think your 'Program' may have developed A.I. and is starting to 'Think' for itself.  LMAO

Tour completed: MFC0022 on 20/05/09
re: Rick L. MFC0008

Finally went back to complete this Tour. However, my 'Aircraft' somehow changed to a DHC Otter from my original C-47/DC3 ??? I think C.B. likes my new Otter.

None of the flights showed up as "completed" in the Tour Reg. ??
Cigar Box shut down on one leg so I had to re-fly it and lost an hour.

All that having been said... finally got 'er DONE ! LOL

What "Towers" ?   ;)    Nice Video !

Was kinda disappointed with the Milviz Otter straight out of the 'Box', but I resolved some of the issues by adding a few Pop-ups. ( PDF, autopilot and GPS. )

Now, if I could figure out how to get it to work properly with my GF-TQ6, it would be a 9/10.

Kudos to Gregory Goodwin and all the guys who contributed to The Bahamas Airports Scenery package.

Great work !  Really looking forward to the next part.

P.S.  Used my brand new "Carenado Turbo Commander" to get there and back (today).  The Otter is TOOOO slow for the 'Long-Haul' ;)

FYI... Airport 61FD "Chalk's Key West" is at the most westerly point in the Florida Keys.

Stay 'Safe' and 'Healthy'

Help and Troubleshooting / Milviz Otter Issue
« on: March 31, 2020, 09:53:35 AM »
Got the Milviz Otter loaded and painted in "Misty" colors. but having an issue with my GoFlight TQ6 throttle levers not 'mapping. (only lever working properly is "mixture")

Checked a bunch of other forums and found that it's apparently a problem with the XMLTools64.DLL.
but haven't found a way to fix it.

Hoping that maybe someone here that's encountered it has found a fix.

Rick

P.S.  Re-loaded the XMLTools64.DLL, (Milviz forum)  but it did not fix the issue. Research continues.

Nice shots !

Reminds me of how much 'Fun' it was loading and unloading drums of Avgas.  LOL

Not surprised to hear that there's maybe only 1 Otter left with the old R1340 power plant.

Like their Little Brother, The Beaver, They're AMAZING when converted to turbine power and No more 'Blown Jugs'!

Thanks for Sharing that !

I'm an 'Old' retired guy that lives 30 minutes from Selkirk Manitoba, the home of Northway Aviation.

I spent many years and too many hours flying all over northern Manitoba in Beavers, turbo Beavers, The Otter and finally, the turbo Otter.

Now I fly them on a computer with a cup of coffee and NO Blackflies or Mosquitos.

Life WAS and IS GOOD !  8)

AMAZING work !

Can these be logged as "Charters" in the M.F.Club ?

Thanks Norm

I thought that was going to be the 'Answer'.

So, unfortunately, if you're doing a Charter Flight like I was yesterday and Cigar Box 'Freezes' during the flight; there is no way to log that time.   :(

Well, Ce La Vie + hopefully Cigar Box will not fail me again.   8)
