Set up Cigar Box and started it. Then minimized the window and flew the flight.  When the flight was completed, I went to file the PIREP and when I opened the window it said Cigar Box had stopped working.  It appeared that although it had initially started properly it never recorded any of the flight and there was not any indication that had occurred until after the flight.

Cigar Box did not record this flight (details below), so I tried a file a manual PIREP using the "Flight Number from the Schedules, but got this message:

"The flight code and number you entered is not a valid route!"

Pilot: Rick Lechow
Select Airline: MFS - Misty Flying Club MSFS
Enter Flight Number: MFST00013 (PABG - PASP)
Select Departure Airport: PABG - Beluga
Select Arrival Airport: PASP - Sheep Mountain
Select Aircraft: Piper PA-24  (Actually a PA-20)
Fuel Used: 25.4
Flight Time: 1.49
Route: PABG - PASP

Comment: Cigar Box stopped recording during this flight

YEP !  Might as well start the 'Move' now, 'cause I ain't gettin' any younger.  LOL

Started 'Parts-Shopping' for a New build yesterday.

'Fly 'till You Can't Fly No Mo' !!  8)

Thanks !!

Great advice at RTMM, as always !

Since Spring hasn't officially arrived here yet and I can't ride my 70th Birthday Present to me, a new Indian Scout M.C. ...I've been following a lot of the Hype and videos about MSFS 2020.

MSFS 2020 sure looks pretty Nice !

Wrestling with whether I should build invest $2000+ in a new PC and switch from P3D or not.

$$ is a consideration since I'm a 70yr. OLD retired guy and former Real-World pilot who loves FS, but has a fixed income now.

My I5 3700 K @ 3.8 and GTX 970 with win 7 system is running P3D with ORBX scenery really, really,  nice now.

But the visuals, from what I've seen, are still no where near the quality of MSFS 2020.

However, from what I've read, my system will 'Suck' on MSFS 2020.  Same old F.S. story for the last 20 years. LOL

Also concerned that my (7) Go-Flight modules and PFC controls that work great with P3D are not going to be compatible for a while.

So, I figure there's probably a few Old Guys like me here and thought I'd ask what your thought are if you don't mind sharing your thoughts and experiences.

Always REALLY appreciate the feed-back from the folks at RTMM.

Thanks in Advance !

Did a clean install + C.B. seems to be working now.

Now, for some 'Strange' reason, P3D v4 has stopped recognizing some of my saved flight plans.

If it's Not one thing... It's always 'Something' else.... LOL

Stay 'Safe' + 'Healthy' and have a GREAT day folks !

Definitely "Hit The Start Button" Norm.  LOL

Unfortunately, it stopped responding again this morning right after "Takeoff"

Paused flight as suggested, but did NOT restart.

Going to uninstall and reinstall.

P.S.  Thanks for sending all that snow from Ontario Norm.

Stay 'Safe' and 'Healthy' Guys !

Just a 'Heads-Up'

I just finished a short 1 hour flight and went to Cigar Box to file the PIREP, but found that although it had started, it never actually recorded the flight.  This is the 2nd time that's happened to me.

From now on I'll be checking to make sure Cigar Box is actually recording the flight after minimizing the window.

Darn, I 'Greased' the landing too.  LOL

Yesterday on the 7th December, Chuck Yeager passed away at the age of 97. Remembered by many as the first person to break the sound barrier, he was one of the true greats of the aviation world and will be greatly missed. Enjoy your new wings've earned them!
