The Icon A5 is the only amphib, give that one a go.

I have been talking to Henrik and I am sure the will be marine traffic.  His group has made some progress and he assured me that he would stay in touch with me.  The fishing industry has collapsed and I need those boats working.

Where did you get that Doug?  I'll give it a try.

This from Henrik on the Outhouse forum:

"MSFS2020 AI ships...
Today Knud managed to put the first of our ships into MSFS2020 - we are still far from understanding how it works, but to see one of the ships there tells us the Global AI Ship Traffic project can have a future in MSFS2020".

It's not there.  I reported that in the alpha a couple of times.  They are probably wainting on their partner
Orbx to release their version which would be best.

Running Good for me.  Everything Ultra.  I bought KORS for $7.00 and it installed smoothly.  Went to KORS in the C-172 (analog panel) and was pulling 95 FPS.  During alpha I was usually getting 65.  This is just the beginning.

FSXX is a new sim and it appears to have some of the FSX DNA.  All existing aircraft, sceneries and AI will require conversion.  Orbx has announced the beginning of conversion of some of their airports for a minimal fee.

I am pretty sure there is a very good reason why there are no floats or helos available at this time.  I don't think it is because there was no one to offer models or physics.  One thing those aircraft have in common is ground/water operations away from airports.  These types of operations will allow an aircraft to get up close and personal with an "object" that might be stationary and only 6 feet away but not at an airport. Now what happens when that object is just a 3-D image without hard vertices.  Maybe the result is not so pretty.

The IConA5 Does land on water and that gives me hope that if our float models were made compatible, we could salvage our AI and marine traffic.

Since this probably has some FSX DNA, perhaps the FSX Effects will play and our traffic bgl files will also if we can get the simobjects converted to play in FSXX.  I hope the SDK will answer those questions.

I had the Icon A5 in P3D.  It is an amphib and in real life, the wings fold and can be towed with your car to your local boat ramp and launched.  ;D

Orbx has announced their support for FSXX so I hope their PNW and SAK sceneries will be salvaged.  I have been looking at some of the FSXX files and looks as though some of the old type traffic files (bgl) are in use so perhaps the RTMM marine and float traffic can be salvaged.  There's a lot of work to do just over the horizon.
Just have to wait for the SDK to be released.

The only static ships in RTMM would be part of an individual scenery package.
