Blackbox has put out a nice little amphibian, it flies well and lands on water/land. The only problem is the wake which is "striped" like we used to get sometimes in P3D. I tried to add the command under wake:
always_use_avg_surface=1
But it doesn't have any affect to the wake, it is still broken, if anybody has an idea on the wake, I'll try it. This is like a "cub" type airplane and great for low/slow flying and smooth water.

Is that the Cessna L-19 "Bird Dog" ? Could try to add a wake effect in the aircraft.cfg?

I will be trying that today and Asibo has several wakes in the 2020 effects folder. I’ll see if I can find some combination that works.

Use the set from the Icon A5: Might work? (and the effects and textures are already in the sim). (The A5 is the only amphibian in the sim at present I think).
Here is the Effects section of the Icon - aircraft.cfg:
(In the "Official" folder>> Official\OneStore\asobo-aircraft-icon\SimObjects\Airplanes or your steam folder if you got the stream version).

wake = fx_wake
water = fx_spray
dirt = fx_tchdrt
concrete = fx_sparks

Try the wake = fx_wake line in the Lottle Doggy.
(PS: Yes I am running MSFS2020 now - MS Store version)

Norm, are you seeing a wake with the ICON, I'm not seeing anything behind the plane. Maybe I've got a setting wrong somewhere else. I've got the water set to HIGH.
UPDATE: tried those settings just now. I get a "skipping" wake, only shows up every other second or so. Nothing continuous and using different effects doesn't seem to change anything.

Is there a water rudder control on this plane ie for raising and lowering rudders on the floats?
Am I missing something?

Nope, no water rudder "button" ... but there is a water rudder built-in, I believe. It is easy to maneuver on the water.
(I still can't get a wake to work in FS2020)

I reduced the number of flights I do in 2020. So much that's not working as I expect it to work. I'm still sure it will be very good some time in the future, but not yet. SDK lacks, airplanes are... well, .. standard. And now Asobo even takes out the visual advantages.
Let's see how much time Asobo needs to deal with the massive amount of bugs and irregularities.

Ditto here too Karl.. lots of bugs, CTD, planes that are "standard" etc etc in 2020.. Lots of work to do to get it up to par.

I agree also. I just use MSFS 2020 for sightseeing outside the Orbx TrueEarth areas in P3Dv5. Can't do serious flying because too much doesn't work. Even the update process is pretty screwy. I do the serious flying in the TrueEarth areas which are gorgeous, consistent and most everything works.

Yep, me too. I flew the new "Little Bird" to the new Kah Sheets Cabin (a 2020 addon). I landed ok on the water (with no wake), put down the gear, headed up to the flat point where I could go up on the land ... and got stuck, the gear doesn't come down when you are in the water. So I never saw the cabin. Seems every time I turn around playing with FS2020, it is a disappointment. Right now I'm flying the Misty Beaver from Petersburg to Kah Sheets ... nice to be back in the V5 saddle.
Update: And there is the cabin, there is the wake, there is the canoe, there is an airplane I trust ... RETURNed again! :-)

I have no wakes of any sort in 2020!! :(
