Title: FireFox Port thread
Post by: spud on April 17, 2011, 10:54:51 AM
Just read the thread on modifying FireFox ports and wanted to add one thing about it.  We did this yesterday to my FireFox install and although I think I failed to mention it to Canuck at the time but when I typed the "about:config" into the empty URL space FireFox pops up a warning:

This might void your warranty
Changing these advanced settings can be harmful to the stability, security, of this
application.  You should only continue if you are sure of what you are doing.

(box to 'show warning next time)

I'll be careful, I promise

I clicked the promise box and my computer disappeared from my desk!  No just messin' with your brain.  I continued with the procedure and everything worked just fine and I can now access the main FS Host server without any problem.
Thanks Canuck for the help without it I would never have found this procedure.

Thanks Spud,
I will update the PDF when I next get a chance.
