Title: FlightPlanner doesn't Recognize Navman's Retreat
Post by: williamb on September 07, 2019, 03:30:13 PM
My FSX Flightplanner located Navman's Retreat as the destination in the 1st leg of Shortfield-Glaciers Tour.  The Flightplanner has not been able to locate Navman's Retreat as the start of the 2nd leg in Shortfield-Glaciers Tour.  The documentation did not indicate the 2nd leg of the Tour needed to be saved.   I have not had any problems with the Flightplanner recognizing/loading FLPs up to this point.  Maybe I should fly the 1st leg again and save it?  Have you any thoughts on what might be going on?

Yep have to save position at Navman’s Retreat (NAV) (P04B) as the sim won't recognized or pick up that location.  You could start leg 2 at Yes Bay Lodge 78K or even closer at PP04 Tyee Lake Hydro. (But if you start there you'll need an amphibian).  (or refly leg 1 and save your position at Navman).

(Or could try to find in the GPS using the lat/long to get to Navman: (N56° 13' 08.64  x W131° 29' 00.18)

PS: Updated the doc to reflect SAVE POSITION for the Navman destination.

Thanks Bill.

Norm,

I will try flying leg 2 from Yes Bay Lodge to Bronson Creek as you suggested.  Only have one twin tail wheel amphibian, the Grumman Goose.  The other amphib twins I have are the PBY and Mallard.  The Goose seems the best choice even though it is smaller than the C-47.

Thanks for your help.
