Title: 3D Redux Lights Goose 21A
Post by: Garry on June 19, 2019, 08:15:47 AM
Hello
Does anyone have a config for the 3D lights for OZx modded Goose, please.

I've setup my Goose but I'm having trouble with the green nav light. I've set up the red light OK but when I copy the details and make the required value positive it's not showing. I've tried different settings to try to move the light forward so I can see it, from 0.9 to 1.9, 2.9 and 3.9, but nothing is happening. See pic: the red light is bright but the green is not.
I'm also not sure if the 22 and 45 deg lights are working either.
If I rem out all the landing lights they still show.
I think I'm using the correct aircraft.cfg, it's G21A Oz Team.

My entry:

LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing, 6=taxi
light.0=3, 0.9, -24.9, 4.6, fx_shockwave_navred
light.1=3, 0.9, 24.9, 4.6, fx_shockwave_navgre
light.2=1, -15.8, -0.26, 4.6, fx_shockwave_beacon_rotating_red
light.3=2, -25.5, 0.00, 11.29, fx_shockwave_strobe_lowl
light.5=6, -0.1, 13.5, 4.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_no_flare
light.6=6, -0.1, -13.5, 4.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_no_flare
light.7=5, -3.5, -12.5, 3.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light
light.8=4, 1.60, 0.00, 2.70, fx_vclight,
light.9=3, -28.3, 0, 4.7, fx_shockwave_navwhi_l_old
light.10 = 5, -3.5, -12.5, 3.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22
light.11 = 5, -3.5, -12.5, 3.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_45

Thanks
Josh

Here are my Goose lights.

Quote
[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
//light.0 = 2, 1.2, 25.1, 4.5, fx_shockwave_strobe
light.1 = 1, -15.6, -0.26, 4.4, fx_shockwave_beaconh ,
light.2 = 4, 1.60, 0.00, 2.70, fx_shockwave_vclight,
light.3 = 5, -3.6, -12.1, 3.5, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_tail // Shockwave light
light.4 = 5, -1.2, 13.6, 4.6, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_short
light.5 = 5, -1.2, -13.6, 4.6, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_short

I snapped this just as the beacon and strobe flashed.   :o 8)

Floats down, showing a navlight on it.  They are part of the floats (not the wings), and not included in the lights section since they move with the floats.  ;)  Notice that I don't have navgre or navred in my [Lights] section.  But they show on my plane's floats.    8)

Thanks Jeff.
Bang on the money as usual. 8)

The info re the floats resolved a lot of my questions.

However, it does seem that I may have a problem because the starboard  float light is not showing..
See pic.
I probably just need to tweak it but from what you said about the float lights it seems this light is controlled outside of the aircraft.cfg file.
Any ideas where to look?

Thanks
Josh

 :-\   Sorry, I don't.  I've never learned about that.   :'(  Maybe someone else here knows about it?   ???

I apologize.  It is late, and I am very tired.  I will ponder this question more at a better time.  G'nite.   ;)

Jeff
Well I had a pleasant surprise when I checked the lights for my HP Goose, the LIGHTS config was slightly different to the G21A inasmuch as the float lights were shown [navgre, navred] and consequently much brighter.

So here is the config I'm using for G21A for you to try, if you like. [I added the 22 and 45 deg lights just for the hell of it]

[LIGHTS]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
//light.0 = 2, 1.2, 25.1, 4.5, fx_shockwave_strobe
light.1 = 1, -15.6, -0.26, 4.4, fx_shockwave_beaconh ,
light.2 = 4, 1.60, 0.00, 2.70, fx_shockwave_vclight,
light.3 = 5, -3.6, -12.1, 3.5, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_tail // Shockwave light
light.4 = 5, -1.2, 13.6, 4.6, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_short
light.5 = 5, -1.2, -13.6, 4.6, fx_Shockwave_landing_light_short
light.6 = 3, 0.45, 24.90, 4.6, fx_shockwave_navgre
light.7 = 3, 0.50, -24.85, 4.6, fx_shockwave_navred
//light.8 = 2, 1.2, -25.1, 4.5, fx_shockwave_strobe
light.9 = 5, -1.2, 13.6, 4.6, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22
light.10 = 5, -1.2, -13.6, 4.6, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_45
light.11 = 5, -3.6, -12.1, 3.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_22
light.12 = 5, -3.6, -12.1, 3.5, fx_shockwave_landing_light_narrow_down_45

I can definitely say that the flashing light I get on the port float light is nothing to do with the LIGHTS config. I remmed out everything shown above and still got that flashing float light plus a couple of others.

Regards
Josh
