For a long time already I often wonder why many users' screenshots are showing a blurry grass ground texture layout.
This blurried looking grass can even occur in high-end computer systems regardless correct hardware-adapted settings and current graphics card drivers.
Most times it's due to the file "detail1.bmp".
But there is a simple help available. A small freeware solves the problem.
Go to:
http://www.drzewiecki-design.net/prodDD_GrassX.htm
and download " Drzewiecki Design Grass v2.5"
Although the software is from 2017 it's still working well! (also under Win10)
The .exe file doesn't need a specific folder to be placed in.
The installer has a selection of flight simulators from FS2004 to P3D v4 and sets the selected ground texture automatically.
The affected file "detail1.bmp" is under
\Your Flight Simulator \ Scenery \ World \ Texture
Please save this file as a backup before you run the grass design software.
(Ok, it's a big file that will be created.)
I am sure an attempt will convince you!

Think this can be done with ENVTEX also.
Plus it gives you a range of resolutions to choose from - not just 4096.

Thank you Dieter!
I‘m curious about look and performance in VR...I‘ll install the textures and test it.
Thanks again!
