Title: New Install - can't see PF20 to switch airports
Post by: SteveA on April 20, 2019, 09:57:44 AM
I'm working on a new install.  100% new hardware, OS, P3Dv3, P3Dv4.5.  I did a P3Dv3 install and setup and have started MFC Tours there, it's working.  For P3Dv4 I waited for v4.5 so I wouldn't have to do an upgrade right after getting a working build.  For the 4.5 install I have been taking the slow and steady approach instead of the Big Bang.  I install a piece, I do a test flight.   So far I have loaded and tested

- P3Dv4.5 (amazing, btw) I've been out for a couple of years so I haven't seen v4 before now
- FSUIPC5 lic
- Active Sky for P3Dv4, using Beta patch for v4.5
- ORBX Global, OLC, Vector, and all the Alaska Airports
- Tongass Fjords, I just finished and spot checked the region.  nothing thorough though
- Misty Object Libs 1-4, including the new Lib 4
- Misty's Place only

I do a test flight after every install or setting change.  Everything seems to be working extremely well except after installing Misty's I can't find it on the airport listing by PF20 (ICAO).  Nothing.  I started a flight in PAKT and flew over there and there it is.  It's perfect, nothing missing, looking great.  I also can't use ATC and call up PF20 for radio communications.  I have not installed any other RTMM sceneries yet.

Any suggestions?

PF20 is Misty's ICAO, so it should show up on your airport list. Why it doesn't show doesn't make sense to me.

Do you have the file    PF20_ADEP3_jdl.bgl   in your Misty's Place Scenery folder? When did you download Misty's Place?

It was downloaded Jan 5.  It has PF20 NDB.BGL but no PF20_ADEP3_jdl.bgl  I will refresh that entire folder.  Great catch.  Thank you.
