I just downloaded the 2019 refreshed taku lodge and installed it.
Maybe I screwed something up but when I went to look the smoke was 10' above the chimneys
could be the smoke fix didn't get included in the refresh?
Thanks,
Bob

Running P3Dv4.4
Just installed the RTMM Required Object LibrariesFSXP3D Part IV_02.12.2019 and downloaded the refreshed taku lodge.
I see "most" all of the lodge I think (too bad it isn't season switchable) but the smoke is as reported...

OK Bob, I'm seeing it too. We're looking at it.

Hi Bob,
Can you post a screenshot and give us the coordinates of your problem please?
EDIT. I see by Doug's screenshot below the smoke offset in PD3v4, and no smoke in P3Dv3. I need to see what you mean by "I see most all of the lodge" in a screenshot.

I had a caching problem on my end. TAKU is now there for me in good stead. I too see the offset smoke. So we'll go to work on that rascal tomorrow. Good eye. thank you for spotting it. Keep an eye on TAKU for when we update it. I'll post what we are seeing here for the RTMM team.

Update: The top pic is in P3D V4, the bottom pic is in P3D V3 ... no smoke showing at all there.

Here's what I see, FSXDX10, summertime. Smoke, and not offset.

All the buildings at Taku have offset (10ft High off the buildings) smoke. 4.4.

Stay tuned, fix coming.

OK, we found the problem (Thank you Bob for spotting it and Steve W for pointing at the cause). I've gone into the folder and fixed it replacing the problem "smoke object" with FSXP3D Ready smoke object. ... and you know what? It looks like it must have snowed there last night ... hmmm. You can download the "fixed" Taku Lodge from the Scenery Page now.

You are pretty amazing there guys!! My Taku is Taco-Tres-Bellisimo now!!
Thanks for fixing up the chiminey-crickets. lol at Tako!.

Fantastic job guys - thanks a bunch...
I did turn off the sound.bgl - doesn't seem quite right to hear all the birds in the dead of winter - just need to remember to turn it back on next spring/summer... :)

That problem has obviously been there for some time and it was just now discovered. There are undoubtedly more of the same lurking out there someplace yet to be discovered. Maybe we should have a contest to see who can find the most. We can award a prize for a free, lifetime subscription to RTMM, including unlimited access to scenery and free downloads!

Lmao Steve.. sounds like a challenge and some great prizes. I'm in!. lol

I’ve had 3 people now email me discussing those planks out in the water. They are part of Xavier and Jacques’ original scenery package. They were sticklers for realism so those planks are no doubt representing something that is actually there. We have made a promise not to alter their scenery...so I guess the mystery planks will stay.
If you turn on the Noseason and Winter seasons together (Change .off to .bgl) you will see the winter trees perfectly overlapping the original (noseason) trees. So we haven’t changed the scenery, just the color of the trees in winter. Summer spring and fall are all original.
I’d like to do this for Yes Bay...but they have a very green grass that the scenery is built upon and snowy trees would not look right. So just don’t fly to Yes Bay in the winter.
It is a lot of work changing these all over to season switchers...but when you cruise into one of them in winter...what a difference. Worth the effort.
Really appreciate everybody’s patience. It is complex and we will have a few wrecks. Keep your eyes open for us as Bob did here and we will make all this even better for you.

Well, I turned the sound back on for the Taku Lodge but substituted two of the sounds in the Yes Bay package; the wolf and the seagulls seemed more appropriate for winter at taku.
Fits right in... ;)
