Title: Malibu from Delta Sim

Hi guys,
Just purchased the Malibu from DeltaSim via PayPal.  Waiting for the email....tap...tap...tap.    ;D

Get the latest aircraft.cfg from Jeff  ... I should post that at The Moorings soon. But it will track autopilot fairly well.  None of them are perfect and sharp turns send you into the trees. (Kind of like Golf, I think!).

I"ll have to dig it out of the forum posts, but I'll look for the latest cfg.  Still waiting for the link to download the boat.  sheeesh   lol

Just got FSDiscover.  Only have to run the installer and pay for it.  Wife and I were just up in the Misty area last June on a cruse to Juneau, Ketchikan, Skakway and Glacier Bay.  Amazing scenery.  After living on Adak Island in the Aluetians for 1 1/2 yrs I couldn't wait to get back to this magical place.  RTMM is a great way to experience some adventure in this area, tho as an armchair pilot, but that cool.   ;D

Did you get your new boat yet?  Here's a video I was able to post on youtube.  I've only been successful uploading 8 so far.

Here's a Malibu configuration files link, just for you.  (So you don't have to go looking for it.)  These are my latest updates, as of April 3rd. 2011.  If you find a bug in 'em, please let me know, so I can fix it.

I put the video up in the gallery.  Also, I'll get the Malibu Configs up there today for folks.  How did you race with the other boats? Was that multiplayer?

No, not multiplayer.  I used FSRecorder to record one of the boats, then I played it back, but made 2 copies of the original boat, but you can change the copies to any other boat you want.  Hence the multiple colors.  Then I jumped it my boat and raced against those boats as they were playing.  It is a great program, and very fun.  You should get it.

Cool!  I've got FSRecorder but hadn't tried that aspect of it yet.  That's a great video.  Kind of tells us what multiplayer with power boats would be like.

Just back from helping my Mom after my Dad's passing.  And I am now officially retired!

I see lot's going on in just a couple of days.  Great additions to the scenery and new boat works.  I have the Malibu now and will change the cfg tomorrow and test it.  Didn't get the autopilot to follow anything the first time around but this time........

Welcome back Rob,
My condolences to you for your loss.  (and ?congrats? on your retirement?)  Glad your back.  I've fixed you up with a link to the configs so you wouldn't have to go hunting for 'em.  I hope they "work" for you.  Someone posted in a forum I was reading this weekend, that configs work differently on different computers.  I hope that is not the case, else I am just doing this for myself.  Well, not really, 'cause to "activate" the AP is something that'll work for everyone.  I think it relates more to the performance of the "contact points".  I don't know.  We'll cross that bridge when we get to it?  Let me know how they work.  You may need some panel gauge files.  Doug and I can help with that too.

Jeff ... when you have time, could you shoot me the latest of each, with readme's and I'll get them up on the site so you guys won't have to be chasing these. Then when you update one, we'll mention it, I'll post the new one, tag it as updated then folks can get the latest.  Happy to do it, will save folks searching time and free up your time.

IMHO these files should be exchanged via email until such time as they are ready for at least beta testing.  I have stopped downloading the boat files due to so many changes and keeping up with what is newest just has become too much of a hassel.  ???
When the different vessels I have (freeware) have been finalized then I'll try the updates until then its just recreational boating for this old fart!

We'll follow your lead on this, but I don't mind posting updates ... we do it all the time.  Just let me know what you want to go "up" and it will happen.

OK Doug,  I'll start working on readme files and get the configs zipped.  The Tug is doing pretty good, and the Malibu is already posted, but the Scirocco still needs work, and I haven't really gotten to do much on the Riva yet.  I'll start with the Tug zip now.

The coordinates in the top-left of the first picture (in reply #14 of this post) is:

Lat N55* 2.49'  Lon W129* 30.55'

And the other 3 pictures' GPS shows me about 5 nautical miles east of PF02.  I haven't gone there to see if it's been fixed.  You know I did the Nass run when I first got to Misty's.  That was a while ago now.  I can pop over for a look. . . . Ok, I am there.  It is just the same as the pictures.  PF02 (Nisca's Glacial Lodge) is over the mountains, about 5 miles to the west of here.  It is a prominent water anomaly, very easy to spot.
The coordinates of it are:

Lat N55* 9.13'  Lon W129* 22.59'

(it just occurred to me, that we are way off topic.  But hey, you're the boss.) ;)
