If you folks haven't stumbled on to the freeware"AI Lights Reborn" yet, give them a try - they do a good job of taming those big blobs on both aircraft and boats:

I've been using them the last couple days in p3d 4.1 and i really like them.

Darn, I installed it and all my AI's disappeared in P3d v4! Tradffic at 15% and nothing. Any ideas?

Steve,

My freeware add-on only add effects, it would not touch your AI traffic configuration or AI planes.

Must be another reason, contact me via support@fsreborn.com if you cannot get it sorted.

Thanks, I think I got it sorted. Since I installed it, I have been flying northern Quebec and I apparently don't have any AI's here. There were some in the lower part. Too cold here.

I just noticed after installing simbols ai lights that the lights section of the tongass ai float planes are configured wrong and don't work.
You need to put the correct numbers for navigation, strobe and beacon in the aircraft.cfg
