FYI,
Doug wanted me to pass on the following information. He's going in today to have cataract surgery and will have that done on both eyes. However the procedures are a couple of weeks apart...so he won't be working on a computer since he needs to avoid bright light to let his eyes heal. 8)
So if you're trying to reach him and he doesn't reply, now you know why. He'll be hanging out at "Misty's" sitting in the booth in the back in the corner in the dark.
All the best Doug and I hope you have smooth surgical procedures and a speedy recovery.
Brad

Doug told me about his impending surgery a couple of weeks ago. Here's wishing him a complete and rapid recovery as well as 20/20.

Wishing Doug the best, I to have been told it's in my future as well, not any where imperative yet, but it's something that will have to be addressed. I don't know if it's hereditary as my dad had to have it done or if not wearing proper eyewear out outdoors most of my life

The thing that sucks for Doug is that Medicare won't pay for it because he's having Lasik surgery.

It is the "Golden Years", we get old and the doctors get the gold. :(

Doug,
all my best wishes to you. please recover well and be back soon.
We miss you!

Been there done taht too. Wishes for a fast recovery, you'll love the results! If I knew how much better my vision would be, I'd have done it before I got cataracts. Bless Bausch and Lomb.

Good luck Doug! My mom got cataract surgery and she loved it!
-
Loved the surgery or the results? ;D
-
I thought that might come ;D She was conked out for the surgery, so she wouldn't know, but she loved the results. The funny thing is, she was able to use a computer within 4 hours ??? Must be some different sort of operation.

I was on my computer the next day. I had to wear an eyepatch on the eye that was just operated on each time, and go to the doctors office to have the bandage removed and the results checked the next day. Then I had to wear a plastic protector taped on at night for a week.
Loved the results, the operations were scary, I was awake, under a local for them. I could see the scalpel coming...

My first impression after I had it done, was how "light" the world was. It was like a thick layer of old varnish that had been peeled of my eyes. It definitely was one of the most spectacular things that happened to me in my life.
Succes Doug...

Jeesh. There's more of us old people around here than I thought! ;D

Get well soon Doug,
My eye surgery was a bit different as I had both lenses replaced. Been seeing an Opthamologist for years now thanks to diabetic retinopathy with LASIX work several times a year. Real PITA but at least its better than being blind.

They give you a diuretic for your eyes?
-
Another brain fart. That was supposed to be LASER (surgery).
